I'm a relatively new viewer who only started watching EN chuubas a month ago, but from personal experience, the NijiEN name is permanently tainted. And this is coming from someone who liked quite a few NijiJP chuubasHaving NijiEN next to your name is unironically an active debuff, because anyone who even does a tiny bit of engagement with the wider scene will find out about the Selen debacle, which paints most of the company and the talents in a pretty bad light. It's such a compelling story too, a promising talent who always tried their best gets shafted by management and bullying, only to come back to massive community support. It's one of those feel-good stories people want to believe. It really doesn't help that the remaining girls just aren't that interesting. I tried looking at a Finana stream early on before I knew anything about Niji and holy shit she has negative charisma. Plus their culture of "don't rock the boat" and "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down" means that anyone challenging the system (like not wanting to get bullied or harassed) is seen as a troublemaker disturbing the peace while whistleblowers are seen as fighting against the system (usually) and heroic.
