Anyone else feel like vtubing is kinda shit right now? Tons of fragmented indies than function identically to streamers and Hololive is as restricting as ever with members in chains and no new interesting projects on the horizon. The biggest fan creation Holocure is in limbo when at this point I would have expected tons of games or even some kind of anime tie-in series.I don't know it just feels like a few years ago really cool tech and innovation was coming but it feels like as a whole it's all just fizzled out. Am I wrong? Is there not more unique potential for this medium than "streamers using avatars"?

>>104552605Streaming with avatars is probably the least creative thing that can be done in vtubing, but it's low-effort-high-reward so I guess most vtubers have the mentality of "why bother doing much else?" If you're burnt out on streams, pick up a different hobby for a while and come back later.
