Cringed a lot when CC did an anime tier list... most other Vtubers I have watched give normie opinions because of popularity or desperation for sponsorships, are there any Vtubers that are anime otakus and don't bow down to popular opinion?
Maybe Vtubing isn't for me desu, because it caters more towards cute, quirky girls rather than otaku talk

The only otaku in EN is Ina and maybe IRyS, Fuwamico used to p open0watch a lot of anime but arr clueless on the lated. Most of EN girls are casuals who only watch popular anime. Besides that though JP has a lot of real otakus. Fubuki and Marine are both a high level, their extend beyond anime and deeper into JP otaku culture in general. But I would say around more than 50% of JPs watch a lot of seasonal anime.

Their VN streams do dogshit compared to literally anything else (even superchat readings get more viewers) and that's like entry level.What you want if you want to find someone actually talking about debuff topics like otaku crap is to find a hobby streamer who doesn't give a shit about numbers. Corpos and bigger streamers will avoid those topics like the plague, regardless of their personal interests.
