The affiliate deal was her method of having a long hiatus and Dooby has never even bothered to sell merch of her indie character. Also Myth building a bus stop in their last full gen collab didn't feel like Ame was taking a one way trip though with so many graduations it's easy to be cynical.

Suisei was the last vtuber to join Hololive with her indie model and that will never be allowed again since they are extremely cautious about copyright. Even when they let Kaela have a model redesign they were careful to only let her choose various options from a range of models that Cover had already made.
