The YouTube reuploads only have the video, not the chat. The problem is in-browser Javascript things trying to load the video and live chat dump from my local disk so they can replay the chat along with the video. So far the only solutions I've seen that work well with long streams are an mpv module that overlays live chat on the video as it plays, and one that runs in the browser but stores the player and the video in a local web server that streams it to your browser the same as a normal website. The mpv one seems most sensible since it's working more or less as a subtitle access module for an already efficient and reliable video player. The local server one looks really neat, but takes a lot more setup to make it work, and is more of a downloaded video library management system rather than a simple player.
