How entertaining they are is obviously going to be the main factor in the hiring process, but the other one should be how good they are. As in, if they’re good-hearted people with a moral backbone. Focus on encouraging unity and good relations between the members. After two EN gens, make an experimental EU gen, with each member from a different EU country and streaming primarily in their native language, trying to garner viewers specifically from their country. Have collabs and such in English. The point is EU has like double the population of the US, and yet I’m pretty sure they still have fewer vtuber fans, and probably weaboos in general. But I believe this could be changed, or at least that number can still be increased in a significant way. Oh, and I’m not sure how do the actual vtuber companies operate and how do their contracts look, but I’m sure you could skew things in your favour with some research. For example, maybe you could apply for some EU tech grants for stuff like a studio? Or maybe you could get some grants from ministries of culture for the mixed language gen if they also did some tourism promotions for example? Or perhaps there are some EU grants for soft power projection or for small businesses or foursome other bullshit that you could apply for, who knows, always possible. And also some countries could make for better or worse headquarters. I know Bulgaria only 10% income tax, or Ireland has been a preferred location for international companies in the last decade. I’m sure you could play the system a bit if you properly looked into it.

If they spend time streaming and not practicing, suddenly they're not good anymore as they rust and others pass them. What you're looking for is that perfect sweetspot where someone is better than average and entertaining enough to actually get people to watch it rather than just going for the highest "skill" possible. In that case, you want people like Dokibird, who's able to barely skirt by at some of the highest levels, but also isn't a pro so they can prioritize entertainment over efficiency.

The reason Hololive works because it creates a juxtaposition with its two main activities. You have the streaming where you get close to the talent personally, and you have the concerts and 3D lives where fans can see the hard work and effort of the talent pay off and can push for their beloved talents to reach greater heights. So, that's what I'd do: hire talented people who are willing to do both. My own twist would be that I'd not only focus on singers and dancers, but also band members and music producers, to cover more grounds. As long as there's talent, the company can thrive. Any retard can hop on a stream and act kooky for a quick laugh, but it takes effort to actually turn the attention to something, and that's where 95% of corpos fail.

I would focus on western musicians. Singer songwriters who can play the guitar or piano. Maybe one or two full rock bands. YouTube is full of small time unsigned musicians, finding the talent wouldn’t be too hard. It’s just that these talents don’t usually care about vtubing and wants to take the traditional route of signing to a label and releasing an album. They’re basically small fish in a big lake. But stick some of these legitimately talented musicians in the vtubing space and suddenly they’re big fishes in a small pond.
