I assumed I may post it in the next thread, but yeah no Minto is lethargic syndrome...
So, we were already in the KO stage prior to our match because /holoX/ won, that was great, but we would have also been save if we lost by 2. Therefore, my approach was to make it slow - once again - with longer passes etc. /morig/ used to play with a formation that's pretty laid back, so I expected them to do the same this time around, but they didn't and this backfired hard. They pressed us hard, stood solid, and that's what ultimately led to those goals against us in the first half: Long passes to nowhere and our defenders losing the ball because they played it just too slow.
On the flipside, it was exactly those long crosses which found Japanese Princess who scored two amazing goals in the first half.
That change at the half made us play more fluidly, we took up speed and turned it around. That goal after a corner kick is basically exactly why I make our Silvers take corners this time around. I found out for myself that those players with better stats play more dangerous corners. It wasn't quite what I intended (which is more like: cross - header - goal), but as long as it works, that's great. That deciding goal was that change in tactics in full force: Solid Mint passed quickly on the wing, Japanese Princess had a lot of space and then found V1.
In the end, we won yet again, we skip the Round of 24 and go straight to the Round of 16 as one of the best Group Winners.

One more thing, I prioritized a new defender instead of a fresh Second Striker at subs this time around. I guess it was just dumb luck that this worked out so well. Our def was pretty good in the 2nd half except for one big chance for them and Japanese Princess delivered until the very end. In the past, we often ran out of steam. This time around, we actually win the matches in the second half.
