about the ai stuff... its not that they need more storage to store the things they "learn"the ai brain is basically just a txt document like>node string 1 - 0.123, 0.234, 0.987>node string 2 - 0.756, 0.474, 1.000, 0.001, 0.543, 0.987>node string 3 - 0.325, 0.756, 0.433this is a super small brain where "n.nnn" represents a parameter. older version of deepseek has 671 billion of these.the "learning" is just these parameters changing values to a number in between 0 and 1 usually around 8-16 digits long. where a specific chain of nodes and values corresponds to a output from a given input.the learning is just a process of "showing" the ai a picture of something, lets say a picture of the number five, and letting it run until it adjusts the values of its parameters so that it is able to say "that is a picture of the number 5"it doesnt "store knowledge" like storing music on a hard drive. that would involve adding more parameters which to my knowledge it doesnt do on the fly. that only happens when they release new "versions". like gpt-1 had 5 billion parameters and gpt-2 had like 50 billion... these numbers are not correct btw, as far as i know chatgpt hasnt released data on their parameters which is why i mentioned deepseek. it is opensource so we know how many their are..the black box effect comes from us not being able to know what parameters is linked to what "concept" and thus we cant map the the "thinking process of the ai"... sometimes one parameter that is associated with one concept and we would think never would change, will change making it even harder to map a specific parameter to a specific concept.the "limit" comes from two thingsthe first like you think, it can only "learn" so much before it will start hallucinating. its parameters will start chaining making it "drift" from less likely responses to more likely responses based on "statistics". its like a form of entropy but coming from human speech. we say and thus type certain words and phrases more often than others.the second reason is the growth limit. information can only travel as fast as light assuming perfect conditions. at a certain point, the amount of parameters will start to bog down the ai as it takes time to process the vast amount. we cant just keep adding more and in fact we are already close to the parameter limit. we in theory make a huge brain but its processing speed is limited so it wont be any faster.. i cant exactly remember it this is a limit on its "iq" though. i think they hypothesize that it is but it seems like it would be "smarter" just slower. which isnt exactly practical given how "smart" ai can already be.our current theory on surpassing this limit leans on quantum computing and the idea of a quantum ai braini may not be exact on all this info but its a decent high level overview

goo morn. in total i slept like... 15 hours today, with a little break. it was like a reverse-nap.
