I think the problem with thread schizos is the format of /asp/ and /vt/ as a whole. Its generals, generals always attract cancer. I feel like /asp/ just shouldn’t exist and discussions and questions about vtubing should just be posted in different threads. I know this probably would never work because there’s more people where to discuss corpos they’re fans of that people actually wanting to be vtubers themselves. But I think this is pretty much why /asp/ is always defined to be shit. The only thing that would save it is if hiroshimoot decides to make a separate board for /asp/.

Alright. Let's try to make something constructive out of this.

There are a few ways to be "botted". You can be botted with followers, chatters, and/or viewers.

With chatters, the best weapon is sery bot. Sery has a large and growing database and tracks bot behavior across the platform. From what I've seen, they are best used to pre-emptively ban/restrict accounts advertising bot services.

With followers, a good tool is commander root. Commanderroot can perform multiple automated moderator actions on your behalf. I have not used it much myself but other people swear by it.

If you notice you are being botted, turn off alerts and features that showcase names. Turn off streamavatars. Turn off follow notifs in stream and in chat. Minimize the ability for the bots to sway the stream and the chat. Consider changing to follower-only or subscriber-only or emote-only chats.

There may be solutions and tips I have neglected to mention here. Please reply with them. Let's treat this as an educational moment.

The folly of Gen 5. So many of them tried to fight back and they went insane in the process and starting eating each other alive because there’s just no beating huge amounts of natural mental illness with reasoning, logic or flinging shit back. Joined asp and started vtubing earlier this year, and I wish I'd had started sooner-
Maybe I could've made more connections before the schizos fully took over the thread.
The other thread is nice, but the sites rep and lack of decent traffic make it a bad place to set up shop.
I guess I'll just lurk and hope everything gets better eventually.
