I was put in there for low attendance repeatedly while getting higher scores on tests than over 90% of the people in the normal classes. Maybe 35% of the people there were more retarded than the average "normal" people in high school who were almost all completely illiterate(classes where people were forced to read out loud were fucking torture.)Most of the people are there for either being repeatedly disruptive(mostly just talking too much and attention whoring) or because they had some emotional issue probably from abusive households or bullying.It is just a mechanism for throwing children to the wolves instead of helping them much like juvenile court.Most adults don't actually want to take responsibility for helping a child even if they signed up for a job that is supposed to involve that.
