>'AVE YOU GOT A PERM FOR THAT VIDEO GAME MATE?

fpbp
when will liggers/phasefags understand it's the Japanese law that forces the streamers to get permissions
>>
>>105322572
Hololive members are independent contractors. They have no reason to follow japanese law unless they live in Japan
>>
>>105324253
>Hololive members are independent contractors.
That's Nijisanji. Hololive members are contract employees.
And even then, Niji contract is even more stringent
>>
>>105321114
Forgot Mio's channel almost being wiped out by Capcom?
>>
>>105324333
>Hololive members are contract employees
I'm 100% sure I've heard an EN member say they're contractors. I think they were talking about insurance and how they don't get it because they're not employees.
>>
>>105324399
Firing squad + mass grave for all bourgeosie
>>
>>105324253
They're operating channels owned by the company. You're acting like the hololive characters themselves are independent when they are not.
>>
>>105324399
What you might've heard was them saying that their insurance only works in japan due to japanese law but they absolutely do have it.
Seriously, is like faggots here forget that Hololive didn't ask for perms in their early days until some nijiniggers snitched to the companies and almost got subaru and mio's channels fucking terminated
>>
>>105324550
What exactly did Capcom do to Mio anyway? Are they just a YOU CANNOT PLAY OUR GAMES ARFG kind of company?
>>
>>105324602
Basically issued two strikes at the same time and said talk to us or you'll get a third i. e. channel deletion.
>>
>>105324550
>Seriously, is like faggots here forget that Hololive didn't ask for perms in their early days until some nijiniggers snitched to the companies and almost got subaru and mio's channels fucking terminated
Are you implying that asking for permissions would have never been a thing had that not happened?
>>
>>105324672
Nta
It would have probaly still happend later anyway, but probaly in a less public setting.
>>
>>105324668
I'd (as a Capcom rep) would have probably tried to reach out before the copyright strikes but at least they didn't randomly (permanently) hurt an entertainer for entertaining people.
>>
>>105324672
>Are you implying that...
Nigga that's a whole different fucking sentence, what the fuck is wrong with you?
>>
>>105324672
What's funny is I tried sending out emails to Warner Bros asking if I could stream the middle earth games and didn't get a response. You're kinda damned if you do, damned if you don't with some of these companies
>>
>>105324845
What's the relevance of muh nijiniggers? Why are you even bringing this up like it matters?
>>
>>105321114
I have a loicense
>>
>>105324877
>got exalted cause of the word ''Nijiniggers''
I see, carry on, sister.
>>
>>105322572
It's not even just Japanese laws. Technically, Western / EN streamers don't always get a free pass with Fair Use either. Companies (especially Western companies) just don't bother with striking individuals most of the time.
>>
>>105324999
>can't answer the question
Why are you so rattled over this?
>>
>>105325009
The only case that I know is when pewdiepie got struck by that smaller studio, because they didn't like him specifically. Probaly after the nigger bridge or the african kids about jews thingy.
>>
>>105324602
Mio was streaming on a modded DS or emulator, I forget which. Both are major nonos in Japan. Hololove never got into any trouble over simply 'streaming games'.
>>
>>105325347
Capcom straight out said it was for "streaming games"
>>
>>105321114
kek
>>
>>105325009
This law shouldnt apply to video games in the first place. They bought the game. It's transformative media, which means you play it how you want and you can stream that experience.
>>
>>105325878
You could maybe make that argument for most gameplay, but what about cutscenes or sections that are extremly railroady.
>>
>>105321114
>blaming cover instead of the companies that made them do it
I get this is low quality bait, but I beg of you anon, please think a little before posting so you don't look like even more of a massive retard
>>
>>105325955
I don't see how uploading a video of a game is even copyright infringement at all. You can't play the game through the video so it's a different thing completely
>>
>>105321961
>https://www.cric.or.jp/english/clj/cl2.html
jezas
>>
>>105321961
You could include the relevant sections instead of linking to a fucking wall of text
>>
>>105327330
The worst part of it is music. The game devs could be fine with it but someone who pings YouTube for a minute long of music in a 4 hour stream gets it all.
The music industry sucks dick. Like, you learn about songs/artists when they're heard and now nobody wants to use your music because what about copyright claims
>>
>>105321114
To be fair they got holocausted over that shit back in 2020
>>
>>105328205
>but someone who pings YouTube for a minute long of music in a 4 hour stream gets it all.
Or someone makes a fake copyright claim on youtube and shit gets hit anyways because they don't check
>>
>>105328379
I don't know what's worse, that people are vile enough to make those false claims or YouTube for not vetting them.
Surely there's a better way. Surely.
>>
>>105324672
He's right that it was nijifags who did that though.
>>
>>105328685
But why does that matter at all?
>>
>>105328639
It's pretty hard, I remember emplemon making a video about this exact matter, he found out that Youtube prefers to copystrike any channel for copyright than dealing with the music labels suing them for half a billion dollars because some dad in a 3rd world country was listening to billie jean while working on his farm, because due to laws Youtube can be liable for damages and bound to lose any lawsuit throw at them.

Can you IMAGINE a world without Nijisanji fans?
>>
>>105328807
While entirely reasonable, a lot of those label artists put their songs on YouTube and have a presence. Why does the Legend of Zelda 2 (NES) dungeon music or the animation for summoning Shiva in Final Fantasy 8 cause a claim?
I'm just saying they're more strict than they should be because we're not talking about people putting Lady Gaga songs on their channel, we're talking about random unpredictable shit.
Is the Super Mario theme song on the NES copyrighted? Probably. Do you have a way to know for sure before you play the game?
Not that I'm aware of.
>>
>>105328823
So permissions magically wouldn't be a thing without them?
>>
>>105329148
They certainly wouldn't have had to kneejerk take down hundreds of streams (and accidentally delete some permanently).
Also, if Nijisanji didn't exist, Hololive would have more perms for games such as Sony for example, which have a financial stake in Nijisanji (because modern Sony only makes bad decisions).
>>
>>105329181
All that would have still happened.
>>
>>105328993
People have copyrighted claimed stretches of silence or the sound of leaves rustling or other background noise. The system is broken.
>>
>>105324831
They quite literally said it was to send a message to Cover because not asking for perms was seen as disrespectful to them.
>>
>>105321114
you need to replace the cover logo with capcom and sony
>>
>>105328823
It was really funny how it backfired when they tried to get Pekora banned for unknowingly using a hacked emerald cart when she bought dozens of carts looking for a event item. Nothing happened to pekora, but holofans got so annoyed the niginigs that they decided to mass report niji talents for using modded 3DS/emulators since that is the only way to stream the DS games they been streaming. A bunch of niji members had to abruptly stop their game playthroughs of older games because they were using emulators lmao
>>
>>105327798
learn to read, nigga.
>>
>>105321114
Nimi's stream just now was a good example of why Cover is autistic about perms
>>
>>105328267
everyone did in the 2010s especially from nintendo stuff i dont know how everyone managed to memoryhole that
>>
>>105324253
>reason
The brand is the reason
>>
>>105337619
>"Yeah, they are autistic because...there is an actual danger that the talents' channels can be eliminated by copyright"
It is easier to strike a company than individual people.
