When will it stop, exodus after exodus and Holocucks will continue to be like “this is fine.” There is something fundamentally wrong with the company, in any other company seeing so many people leave within 1 year would be a massive red flag but apparently it’s ok with Hololive because some talents are bootlickers and their fans eat it up

Anon, except for a small period in 2018 where there were less than 100 vtubers and most of them were corpos. Indies have always had the biggest market share because there's multiple orders of magnitudes more of them than corpos.
The fact that hololive is gaining on indies this fast is absolutely insane.

Early employees leaving soon after a company becomes more corporate is a common problem for former startups. This is why you had so many graduations last year as well as multiple longtime staff members bowing out. There's too many managers to deal with now. The employees who are hard workers have simply grown tired of all of the red tape that is now required of them.
>>
>>105391120
who? unironically, never heard of this dude.
>>
>>105391120
Those "fans" saying "this is fine" and damage controlling on social media and even /here/ are just astroturfers paid by the company.
Actual fans either brainlessly eat it up, as you said, or have no power to change anything.
YAGOO could graduate tomorrow and it would be the same astroturfed explanations and cope. The company could close down and file for bankruptcy tomorrow and it would be the same astroturfed explanation and cope.

Phase Connect has, what, ten employees? It could realistically survive off YouTube revenue alone with, like, .8% watch hours.

Cover has hundreds of employees: it would need to be closer to 40-60% of VTuber watch hours to reach the break even point.

It's never fine because AI can't do almost any job yet, but they're shoehorned in by people who don't know how it works. There is literally nothing a guy who "does know how AI works" can do to fix this.

Artists arent being replaced by AI.
Artists that dont use AI are being replaced by Artists that use AI.

Simple as that. Just as handwriter's job isnt being replaced by type writing machine, but rather handwriter that uses typewriter machine replaced those that dont use it.
>>
>>105391525
Post the listing ESL-brownoid ie. Sister.
>>
>>105419909
This is true. This also doesn't mean any slop will tolerated though - mistakes are going to get more noticeable.
>>
>>105420525
It's like CGI vs practical effects, one is cheaper and faster so the execs will keep pushing for it, regardless of its quality.
The key is to make it good enough that audiences don't immediately see that it's AI.
>>
>>105391120
I'm not the biggest fan of Holo, but doing this for regular employees is reaching a fair bit.
It's only really notable if talents or senior management leave.
>>
>>105420525
>mistakes are going to get more noticeable
If anything, as AI improves, the output becomes better and better. We can generate full 3D models, images, videos, sfx, music, etc from AI today that are of decent quality with decent prompts. Tomorrow's AI will improve this by leap and bounds. By the end of this decade, you'll say the complete opposite where you'll claim "only humans make mistake" and "this is too perfect, so its AI". The tune will change to the opposite in your mind before you even notice what you're saying.

>Are we supposed to care about every blender jockey and pencil pusher in the company?
Fans were hoping that A-Chan would take over after Yagoo, but when she actually leaves, they cope as if she were irrelevant.

Fans can cope all they want, but financially, Cover isn't making their projections. And the investors have lost confidence in their current direction.
>>
>>105394217
Dramafaggots saw what happened with VShojo and niji and now they are looking for signs in the clouds for proof that hololive is a black company too.

>>105422489
>taking over a tech CEO role from a lower position in the company when it has VC backing or went public
They are delusional. Only the investors or a board of directors get to pick in any of those situations. At best, she would've only gotten to do it on a temporary basis if Yagoo had to leave his position for any reason and that is for those people to find a proper replacement. The only certainty in that situation would've been that the company would've gotten another tech or finance figure who was well connected with said people to head Cover.
>>
>>105423146
Cover cares very much.
>>
>>105391179
>Hololive has become a soulless company
>bleeding talents like never before
>but it's cool because their numbers are big
Why would this matter to you? Are you a shareholder? An investor?
>>
>>105423833
It was obviously folly. However, the cofounder of Hololive helped many stay and/or change their direction in the company. It's arguable that it is no coincidence that the exodus occurs after her leaving. And talents are talking about how it's no longer like the past, but a new direction for Hololive.
But my point was that she was treated as the second most loved after Yagoo, to becoming negligible after she left.
>>
>>105391337
This.
>>
>>105423165
At least say that you would fuck her, not... this
>>
>>105423877
They should start acting like that then
>Told investors off several times when they suggested to cut the girls' shares down to "other company"'s rate
>Still doesn’t buyback or pay dividends even though investors have been screaming for that for years
Like, one of the most commonly seen criticism about cover from investors is that they have no way to influence the company and no way to profit outside of selling their stocks
>>
>>105423898
Hololive is the only company that actually cares about developing their existing talent with everyone trying to support the smaller members before introducing new members. This concentrated effort by all sorts of scummy corpos and "indies" trying to take Hololive down just goes to show how much greater in all aspects Hololive is to every other alternative. They can't compete with them so they try to destroy them with lies and underhanded means.
>>
>>105423117
The "Hololive is a black company" narrative isnt new, it was, funny enough, started by Coco when she complained about 50% merch cuts being "too low".

every single indie is actually not only in competition with holo, but also with every other indie, they're not a collective whole.

>>
>>105439535
That's not really the point. The market share would be up for grabs and there would be much more competition (since it is actually rewarded), and ultimately different trends would control the industry instead of the old tired tropes.
