She gradually dropped it as she stopped going to uni and wasn't around her colleagues as much and spent more time with her family. She has at times said that she tries to mask her natural accent around people because she's had bad experiences with how she was treated her based on it. You can definitely tell that the current is her natural accent when she slips into afrikaans outbursts when she gets spooked or during her dutch/afrikaans collab with nina.
