Start-of-thread worldbuilding prompt question:How is the infrastructure in your nation (roads, bridges, etc)? Any notable quirks or developments regarding them?
>>106114264The main city of /awat/ is pretty modern and comparable to most cities you'd see in real life. Outside of the main city is a lot more subdued. More wooden bridges, barns, typical housing you'd see in rural areas as areas outside of /awat/ tend to be less advanced than the main city. Areas surrounding the main city usually tend to fall under suburban lifestyles but if you go to the coast its a lot more smaller cozier towns. They all still have access to technology thanks to Watson Industries but it isn't as prevalent as it is in the city.

These ways usually make use of a cryomantic enchantment which maintains the shape and smooth surface of the road, and they can be built to be quite large, accommodating even train-sized vehicles to transport many people or merchandise. Obviously these are most useful for traveling down the mountains, there are similar ways that go up the slope which have to be pulled by great demonic beasts of burden with feet covered in spikes, allowing them to pull the loads against gravity.
