I try watching streams from time to time, but most are absolute snoozefests. I don't really understand the appeal. Do people watch them in full, or do they just watch them for a few minutes at a time before moving on to something else? I wish vtubers would just edit down their streams to 10-30 minute videos like normal YouTubers do.
>>106119288If you really like the vtuber, you probably would want to watch most of what they make so it's not that uncommon to watch full streams. If you're watching for entertainment, you might watch full streams for a game that you are interested in, or a big event.
>>106119288i watch the ones that are actually entertaining not all of them are just people talking at a none moving screen for 6 hours. But for the people hat just watch most of the shit, its because they want to think they are in a relationship with them weather romantic or just friends. there's also the weirdos who like the chat, i don't know how you ever actually enjoy being in the chat and trying to talk in it particularly in large streams but whatever.
>>106119288Zoomer anon...
>>106119581watching streams is quintessential zoomer behavior
>>106119288>I wish vtubers would just edit down their streams to 10-30 minute videos like normal YouTubers do.They really should do this. I would still watch the steams though
>>106119288I can relate, i tune in live streams only when i happen to stuble into one just to check what's happening and stay there for a limited amount of time, if the stream was interesting enough i will check the vod in a second time watching it at intervals when most comfortable. I mostly follow my oshis for their projects (eg: music videos and and dedicated skits).
>>106119288nowadays I just watch clips. vtubers are not entertaining enough to sit through 2+ hours even as background noise. Kazuna ai did it best.
I'm the kind of subhuman who watches streams semi-regularly and even I am at a loss on what to say to justify my behavior.
>>106119288I tend to watch for up to an hour at a time. It's rare for any Vtuber to keep my interest for longer than that. Plus a lot of them loop the same minute or so of background music and it gets old fast.
>>106119288I enjoy listening to a pleasant voice that chats about mundane things while playing some video game for hours, it shuts up my thoughts.
>click on chuuba stream>shes just personally attacking inanimate enemies of a video game and telling them to leave her alone (she launched the game)
>>106119288Most of them are background noise to me. I only actively watch my oshi, and occasionally Shiori because they tend to use a lot of visual gags
>>106119288it's been memed and discussed to hell and back but this image genuinely explains it imo.some people like the character and kayfabe aspect of chuuba's.some people want a streamer with a 2D avatar. but so many new chuubas don't even utilise the strength of having an avatar as they proceed to make the most generic nekomimi avatar that they don't even use toggles on.
>>106125645It baffles me that anti-kayfabe is somehow the dominant stance on /vt/ nowadays.
>>106125839The default stance on /vt/ is whatever gets the most (you)s.
