ok, after having bought the new holoindie game she played and played it myself I think she got pretty lucky overall in her run. Might just be me having not that much experience with this type of game but it feels decently balanced. You can for sure break it with some decent rng. And the last area with holox defiantly ramps up the damage. But I guess that once you have most of the cards and can build for a certain type of play style it will be cake.
