Always during a lull in the action (until the end of the marathon). If they were on some sort of timer to send some sort of message then they would have naturally interrupted things. In addition to that there would be no way to predict how long the marathon would be so any "message" conveyed by the timing of the glitches would either be looping or cut off. Both are not ideal. tl;dr: It's a wild goose chase. If someone else wants to burn 12 hours pouring through the VODs they're more than welcome to. But I'm certainly not gonna do it.
