One of the classic memes about vtubing still encountered in normie circles is that the vtubers are actually men with voice changers. We of course know this is not true, and yet one can't help but ask... Why?Because if you think about it, it makes no fucking sense. The audience is primarily male, their favorite hobbies and media are, to this day, dominated by men, and a good chunk of the audience actively loathes "normal" women and expects vtubers to behave in a specific way. You also have vtubers who seemed to have realized that and leaned into content that panders specifically to men and the kind of audience you'd get from /here/. As one old wise fox said, men are easy, and many of them piss their pants the moment a cute anime girl plays some obscure game, wacthes their favorite EPIC WH40k lore of history videos, talks about some niche internet drama or cranks out vaguely (or explicitly) right-wing reactslop. These, however, remain exceptions, especially the few genuine ones, because foids generally do not have the same interests, routinely fail to understand their audience and even when they do, are often incapable of anything but pale immitation. So I find it baffling that we don't actually have a bunch men with voice changers trying to grift their fellows by hiding behind a png. By any estimation, with relatively modest effort even a fairly mediocre moid should be able to amass an army of simps just by engaging with their favorite hobbies on stream. Because most women in the scene are also just regular ass women. Hell, some are autistic failures too, so don't give me that bullshit that your average vtuber fan just won't cut it. You don't really need some insane charisma to make it in this industry. And I would argue that faking your hobbies is much harder than faking your identity online. So what's stopping them? Why don't (You) have a general on /vt/ with fans writing about mating pressing and impregnating you or whatever? Is the voice changer tech just not there? Is there something about the foid habitus that can not be replicated by men? Is the doxxing so prevalent that any such attempt would be uncovered way too quickly? At the very least, we should have WAY more high-profile cases where someone tried and got exposed.
Ogey.

>>107528974The one moment the mask will slip from the guy with the voice changer it will be the end of it.While a woman faking her opinions and interests, can occasionally break character and let the mask slip as much as she wants. Hell, she can even pivot from grifting after some time like Pippa did and still have a fanbase.

>>107529237>The one moment the mask will slip from the guy with the voice changer it will be the end of it.True. But one could still run the grift for long enough to get loads of money then just disappear into the night. And we still should hear more about this very thing happening.
>>107528974The reason why is because there are a bunch that are and the normies only have to hear about it once for it to become the first thing they think about.I stopped reading after the first line though Jesus Christ
>>107528974>Is the voice changer tech just not there? No but yes.>Is there something about the foid habitus that can not be replicated by men?Yes, women and men speak in slightly different ways that can be hard for either to replicate.>Is the doxxing so prevalent that any such attempt would be uncovered way too quickly? Also, kind of? For some fucking reason, the normie sphere (or at least, a noticeably large part of it) is absolutely utterly obsessed with knowing what content creators look like. They absolutely cannot enjoy someone's content without seeing their face for some reason. Though I think a lot of this is being pushed by the inner Twitch cabal, because "anonymity bad because we can't punish you IRL (doxx) for not agreeing with us".
>>107529261Zentreya uses text to speech because he is too cowardly to use a voice changer, he intentionally leaves no room for error.
>>107529237Depends actually. If the person goes for a femboy/shota angle after that happens I bet a certain group of degenerates wouldn't mind "enjoying" them.
>>107528974A lot of vtubers are men with female avatars but the examples where they hide their voice is usually text-to-speech instead of voice changers and it always sounds horrible. Sometimes they just openly use their male voice but people still watch for the female avatar. Pochi used to use a voice changer but it was just to make her voice more kawaii.
>>107528974Because when the West first started becoming aware of vtubing a clip of a babiniku (can't even remember the name) fucking up his setup and revealing his face went viral, both in Japan and then the West. Because of a clear misunderstanding of what babinikus are it was shared around Western circles as>vtuber accidentally reveals himself to actually be a man and panics as his chat melts downRather than what it actually was: a guy panicking and chat melting down because of an accidental face reveal, but everyone was aware it was a guy.To this day that is the primary reason normalfags will talk about them all being men.
