>>107558939So the capital has been christened Tytopolis, neat name. I love using a rural exodus dynamic as a reason for the influx of schizo activity, clever. What was the Sugar Rush?
I saw /rrat/ on the catalog yesterday, it had been a while. Imagine a country of rats and schizos.
I've been thinking about /saga/ worldbuilding. Multi-fanbase threads are always interesting to worldbuild because it comes with a free aspect of regional variation and factionalism. These have been my rough thoughts on each faction of /saga/.>The Biscuiteers originate from the forests, and in ancient times had a repute for being fierce and hunters, but with the march of civilization they have settled into the role of breadbasket of the country. The forest were cut down, and fruitful fields of grain grew instead, and an incredibly intricate culture of culinary tradition, especially baking grew there.>They've also found themselves emigrating to the rest of the country more than any of the other fanbases, such that Biscuiteer bakeries can be found in most any city in the land.>On the military side, soldiers of Biscuiteer stock are known for being fearless even in battle with desperate odds, surely a credit to the wolfish ancestors.>The Nanobros rule the waves, having always lived in the coastal parts of the country. They are fully amphibian creatures, able to breathe both on land and in sea, and accordingly they have settlements on either. Nanobros settlements always always shake visitors by their musicality; they speak solely in songs, whether it be grand belting for public announcements, or whispered serenades for private conversations. While this originates from their native tongue, this aspect of Nanobro communication is carried into their spoken dialect for /saga/'s common tongue.>While they have limited need for ships themselves, Nanobros proved to be extraordinary shipbuilders once empowered by the industriousness of inland saggers, and most modern shipyards are now staffed by them, thanks to their ability to conduct underwater maintenance effortlessly.Still workshopping the other three fanbases.
>>107564301In the context of /who/ as a thread, the Sugar Rush refers to when Mumei did four streams in one day. Technically the first one was a Council Collab on Sana's channel and the third stream was also basically a warmup for the fourth, but when combined it's still six hours of streaming in a single day, well above what Mumei had previously put out to that point. Highlights include Mumei revealing that she would marry for the wedding cake and divorce shortly afterward in order to be able to marry again and eat more wedding cake (which itself became a thread meme especially after the "600 Hours of Breeding" revelation a month or two later), a fun and comfy impromptu collab with Sana that ended up being pushed super-hard by the YT algorithm months afterward, and two karaoke streams (the second of which bringing us JACK SPARROW).I haven't written about it in the context of this project, but the Sugar Rush would almost certainly be portrayed as an event or period of time that saw a population boom, bountiful harvests, and (if the relevant anon agrees) trade deals and strengthened diplomatic/cultural ties with Sanallites and/or Bread Dogs.>>107565747I'm not familiar with /saga/ and it seems like my filters hide it, but it's good to see more of the world filled in! I can't help with the lore directly since Phase is outside my radar, but I wonder if you have a spot on the map in mind for them. It could help visualize the different factions if their populations are somewhat isolated from each other. You've already suggested that the Nanobros mainly live by the coast/in the sea and the Biscuiteers are more spread out. I'm curious to know what the other fanbases are and what you believe their economic/cultural niches are. Also, Biscuiteers being storied bakers and having "wolfish ancestors"... no one tell Baker-chan.In any case, glad to see some new blood! Make yourself at home, and don't be afraid to ask questions!
>>107567451wedding cake-fueled relationships huh? Architects ate good. Sounds like a legendary time, reminds me of when Mori did the shiny-hunting stream with Sana for like 12 hours. Sana was good at those long collabs.Yeah, I think /saga/ will want to be in a pretty geographically varied spot, at the very least with some coast for the nanobros, swamps for the sams, and some slightly colder regions for the willagers. Also I'd probably have it be on the Phase continent, maybe on the southern, colder chunk. With korone that's three vtubers with a dog-baking thing going on, I wonder if there's a pop culture thing or it's just like dogs being nice and helpful going well with making you some bread.I've been here for a while, I've posted /morig/ stuff before, but I've been in /saga/ since it started and watching them a bunch, so I've got more of a muse for that thread at the moment.
So, the sams are a bit of a unique case where they are represented both in /crroc/ and in /saga/. The history there is basically that Sams used to have a general for Nitya's PL and developed a thread culture accordingly. When Saga debuted, a /malice/ thread appeared, alongside the apparition of /crroc/ which was basically the PL thread resurrected for Nitya. After a thread or two of /malice/ it was decided that the general would serve all of Saga, to both give the other girls a place to be posted, and also to better weather dead hours and the whims of the catalog. Possibly merging /crrroc/ under the same umbrella was briefly discussed, but not very seriously, as the Sams enjoyed having their thread that preserved their culture, and /saga/ saw no issue with that.To represent that, I think the Sams' swamps would de facto have a high degree of independence from the rest of the country, which also plays nicely with being people who live in a swamp that is difficult to control, explore, or conquer. They could be specialists in guerilla warfare, among other things.

>>107574072this will influence the trout populations
Welcome newcomers. Do you mind scallops and clams in red wine sauce?
>>107576443I fucking love them actually, that sounds incredible.
>>107578159Loreli is just an island with some fruit, shellfish, and birds. Though we do have staple imports like dry grains, grog, and salt pork.
>>107578533It's too bad seagulls taste awful, they'd be a pretty good food source otherwise.
>>107579975Well seagulls are the rats of the sea. Besides we're busy domesticating dodo birds. These dodo birds are just smart enough to be domesticated thanks to their seafood and coconut diets.
So I've been thinking about doing research in why zombie zomrades specifically cannot give live birth. Wisps are easy to explain: They are ghosts.
>>107589481It's not easy being undead...
>Besides their unique political position and their guerilla abilities, Sams are also known for being a very welcoming and friendly people, if you prove to be an ally. I think they might be living the most harmoniously with nature, which goes along their talent in guerilla warfare, and they make for fantastic scouts in the national armies.>Willagers hail from the mountains of the sagger lands, lands of harsh cold and freezing winters that have forged them into a hardy people. A plurality of the standing army comes from willager barracks, and their military academies also train fine generals and knights who go on to ply their trade across the country and the world. Under the mountains where they reside, large veins of metals are found, especially iron, nickel and copper, alongside some coal, which has resulted in the alpine valleys also being the heart of industry of the country. This expansion of the manufacturing sector has only been enabled by importing foodstuffs from the more fertile parts of Saga, however.>Malistocrats, worshippers of the great energy vampire, were the first Saggers to unite their disparate tribes into one congruent state. As such, the country's capital and the Council of the Saggers is found in their lands, in one of the great magical cities nestled between the cloudy rolling hills of the Saga midlands. From every corner of the country, from the slimiest swamp to the most refined Willager township, representatives from all over congregate in the council to settle decisions that concern the entire population.>Compared to the rest of the country, the Malistocrats are the heaviest users of magic, specializing in the collection, storage and use of mana in all its forms. World-class mages and artificers are born there, and some fearsome spellcasters can be found amongst the long-lived energy vampire nobility of their cities.
gnight
I wouldn't worry too much if your stuff doesn't get immediate replies. Everyone's sleep and work schedules are different. Just give it time.
>>107571073>>107592813I'm curious to hear the in-world reason for the Sams in /saga/ to live separately from their home in /crroc/. Is it a situation where the two nations are neighbors and Sams are free to travel between one and the other? If it is, are the other peoples in /saga/ given some customs leniency when visiting /crroc/? If /crroc/ and /saga/ aren't neighbors, what was the reason for some of the Sams to travel abroad, and what was it about /saga/ that made them decide to stay there?>>107589481One angle to approach this is to determine the nature of reanimation in Viti. If someone was brought back from death as a sapient zombie by the gods, it must mean that either:>the gods favored the one or ones appealing to them>the person who died is needed or required to do something before truly passing onIf we assume the latter for now, that suggests Zombie Wife (and anyone else who became a zombie at some point in Viti's history) wasn't finished with what she was meant to do on Viti. If this assumption is correct, that would mean that any such resurrection is with an end-goal for the zombie of something that needs to be done. Anything not needed to carry out that goal is unnecessary and thus not restored. This in turn would mean that zombies are forbidden by the gods themselves from reproducing, as there is no reason such a function would be needed. If the purpose that someone was brought back for is to start a family with someone, adoption is never off the table.

hello world
>>107595918She like most resurrected zomrades are revived via divine favoritism. But there's something more going on on a spiritual level that is preventing a soul from inhabiting the body. It's like making a homonculus. You either get a monster or a stillborn body.
>>107595918I think the nations would be neighbours, that just makes sense with the figurative closeness of the nations, and there is free trade and passage between the two. I could see it as being the kind of thing where most Sams enjoy the lifestyle of the swamps, but maybe some of them are curious about what it's like to live in the cities of the other regions and end up searching for work there. There could maybe be a fringe /crrroc/ faction that holds more negative feelings about /saga/, secessionists of sorts, those are always fun.On the other hand people visiting /crrroc/ from other regions would be a bit rarer, mainly because travel there is more difficult. Alongside that, it might have the perception of being a more untamed and dangerous land.Oh, I think I know what I've been subconsciously channeling, they are a bit reminiscent of the crannogmen from ASoIaF.
>>107600775>You either get a monster or a stillborn body. With crimes against nature and god, you can do both
So how are projects going today?
>Former city of Eulhaven, /who/, N.S. 1"Ave!""A-Ave! ...It's going to get some time getting used to that.""You should be thankful they call you Ave to begin with. Back at Stenopelia everyhoot yells "Skol!" when they see me.""I see. Anyways, what's the problem between our towns that needs worked out?""There is no problem that I know of. The reason I sent that message calling you here was so that I could get something out of my mind before the Moot. I've been thinking about the future of /who/ and I need someone I trust to confide in. And who could I possibly trust more than my own pupil?""Your hoosband?""...Lost to the flames.""Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't kn-""It's fine, I didn't tell you in the first place since it didn't matter and I assumed you had more local things to deal with. How about this: if the news of my hoosband's passing truly bothers you, promise me you'll continue to treat your wife well in the years to come."In any case, I feel like we're getting a bit off track. If you don't mind, I'd like to get to talking about the future of /who/.""Yes? What about it?""Without the Nameless One, we are doomed as a people. Yes, our neighbors are appreciative of the land we recently gave them. But they will not be satisfied with just that forever! Eventually, one of them will want more and we godless, magicless hoots will fall before them! Everyhoot still in Viti is clinging to some false hope that things will one day come back to normal, but we cannot go back to that old normal without a being to worship! The only ones who understood the truth were the ones who either stayed behind in the Tower or stuck to the plan of going down with the cities!"That being said, I believe there is still a way for /who/ to continue into the future, even without the Nameless One to guide us.""What's that?""Have you ever heard of the Triumph of the Cult of Delumin?""...What?""...I thought not. I suppose it is only natural you haven't. My Hoojisan came across it in his travels."There was an ill-fated goddess named Mano Aloe. When She tragically fell, many of Her followers sought refuge among the company of their goddess's peers. Many, but not all."One sect of Manotomos found faith in an entity known as the Green Triangle in spite of there being no sign of her affecting the Heavenly Layer. These "Delumin" as they would come to be known became nomads, as in their efforts to ascend their new oshi to divinity they partook in numerous forbidden practices."It was said that their devotion to this angelic figure was so fervent and so pure that, after countless years of Lovebombs and other sacrificial rites, the Green Triangle apotheosized and harnessed the spark of divinity. She became a chuuba in large part due to this cult's faith in her.""Are you implying there's a way for mortals to give beings on the Heavenly Layer the ability to become goddesses?""The unfiltered machinations of schizos are a gateway to many things justly deemed hazardous and destructive. Yet, the Cult of Delumin were able to parse through the madness to find ways to empower their angel enough for her to ascend.""...Do you think this feat could be repeated?""Hoo can say?"__________I've had the idea of cults dedicated to the Pink One for a while based on how the thread talks about her (references and talks about her quite a bit and even namedrops her on occasion, but doesn't directly post her content) but wasn't sure how I could go about writing something like that. Most of what I have written for /who/ is in a style that's not really suited to depicting underground communities like this.To be frank, I'm not confident enough in my ability to create scenes (or that this approach to depicting this concept is the right one) to feel justified anchoring this. I won't be opposed to someone else taking the initiative and archiving it on my behalf as long as you state that it's non-canon. I may return to this and canonize it, but for now I'm basically spitballing. And of course, if a pre-2022 Delumin comes in and asks me to remove or edit the tale I will oblige.

>>107605062Cults are pretty tough to write for in general let alone a believable one.
DND update soon
Zombie-wife is not taking the miscarriage well. But she is not upset at me at least. We both were conned in the pregnancy drugs. They were successful in reviving her eggs. However it appears in zomrades case they share their souls with Ollie and her "owner". And to protect zomrades from birthing souless demons their children are stillborn. I was unaware of this as was she. Still we're open for adoption if we need children. Zomrade wife is considering opening an orphanage.
>>107605062>"Have you ever heard of the Triumph of the Cult of Delumin?">"...What?">"...I thought not. I suppose it is only natural you haven't. My Hoojisan came across it in his travels.heartfully kek'd. delightful piece anonFrom the metaphysical standpoint, I've always been partial to the view the divinities draw power from their worshippers just as much as the opposite, at least for some goddesses. This is in fact reminiscent of the process of /asp/otheosis, wherein a mortal (an anon) achieves divinity by amassing a following of worshippers on the mortal realm. It would make sense then that a Heavenly Realm being fallen from divinity could reacquire it with enough worship.Always nice to see a Delu mention as well, I catch her karaoke sometimes, she's doing pretty well for herself these days.

I miss horni. They've been gone for almost two days now.
>>107617781A little peek behind the curtain: the "Cult of Delumin" part of that was originally its own thing I drafted after reading the stillbirth post from the previous thread inspired me to write something. The Darth Plagueis copypasta dialogue parallels were a bit more blatant before I turned it into a vehicle for an aspect of /who/'s underbelly. There's definitely a lot of info missing from the tale, but the two confirmed degrees of separation probably excuse the lack of any kusodad mention or of any reference to MeStage or anything else Delu was involved in after her live2d debut.I didn't see any document in the Viti archive that had a title implying it talked about the mechanics of divinity so I basically went with "gods need prayer badly" approach since that'd be most convenient for potential /who/ narratives. If there is relevant content in the Vitubia docs, I'll probably spend some time perusing them when things free up for me. I don't plan have the hypothetical cults achieve their goals unless the Pink One's clearly changing her perspective, but it would be good reading regardless.>>107615997I wonder what was in those drugs that restored Zombie-wife's eggs (and presumably her reproductive system as a whole). If the con artist could recreate those drugs, I imagine killings could be made selling them legitimately to post-menopause women if they work the way I think they do.Is Zombie-wife's name listed anywhere in the /warkop/ lore? If it has, I'm afraid I either forgot or overlooked it.>>107620129Looking forward to it! When it's ready, of course.

>>107626290>I didn't see any document in the Viti archive that had a title implying it talked about the mechanics of divinityYeah, that's something that historically has been left up to the individual divinities, many of them could work a bit differently, after all.

morning!>>107644750>>107646094Normally when you cook something like salt pork (or salt fish) you soak it in cold water for a while to let it rehydrate and to let most of the salt come out of it, you can even do that multiple times discarding the water. Of course even with that the end product will be a bit salty, but if you do that you can make it more manageable.
