>>107719510no way an entire shift earns 9.70 USD
>>107719342Please understand the current staff ALL have very important roles.
>>107719648Probably a contract job clocked by hours instead of having full shift
>>107720027 (Me)I meant Holo job
>>107719510It means that an evening shift at a supermarket pays 1400 per hour (7.7 euro, I got paid more in landscaping 25 years ago).6.9 euro per hour for technical writing is not a real salary anyone should accept.
>>107719510>>107719648That's per hour although it's more on the upper range. McD JP pays around 1.2K-1.4K yen per hour on average, lower during the day (can get as low as 800 yen) and higher during night shift.Fun fact: an English teacher gets ~1.2K yen per hour, even lower than McD while having higher requirements(All of those are for part-time workers, of course)
>>107719342>assistant to support the direction of streaming app developmentIs this even a programmer?
>>107719417AI is horseshit but for those wages whoever gets the job should use it for 90% of their work
>>107720183No
>>107720183no just weird choice of words or a phrase that doesnt translate well. if you actually look at the site its just anaging files and documentation. like the only thing they actually list is this "please create specifications and manuals for the application itself used for distribution, as well as the stage and gimmicks of 3D live performances, and organize them. It is assumed that you will use Notion, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc".
>>107719387technical writing is still a thing?
>>107719342>how do I make this about nijisanji
I assume there's practically 0% chance you're gonna get to talk to or even meet any of the talents at this position, as well.
>>107720515You ask interns to do it in between their coffee runs
>>1077205352%
>>107719342That's decent money in East Asia. Not everywhere pays like the US.
>>107720539You can breath in the air they breath. But such position is reserved for the lowest of pervs. Joking aside, I think the only purpose of this is to scout fresh graduates where they eventually regularize exceptional ones
Reminds me of the time I spent 4 months at an advertising company, where the position was marketed in the national job office as "assistant marketing specialist".The first week was a bunch of training which made me believe I'm actually going to create ads on the internet, but that was only so they can get a subsidy for me. The remaining 11 weeks, every single work day was 7 hours of cold calling people about pots, printers or solar panels, and 1 hour(sometimes more) of being a janitor and cleaning up after actual marketing specialists went home. And the worst part is that this was advertised to me as a job, but it was technically an internship that doesn't count towards work experience or retirement, and I found out by trying to get my next job through the same office. The job I wanted to get listed 3 months of work experience, but I was told they can't give it to me due to not fulfilling the requirement. I got to listen to a 15 minute monologue on the difference between jobs and internships and how dumb is the current generation for not understanding it, while holding the paper saying JOB OFFER in bold at the very top of it, by the very same post-wall bitch who who gave me that very same paper to me half a year ago. And at the end of it I got shoved out of the way by the people who were in the queue behind me, as if it was my fault.
>>107721000>The job I wanted to get listed 3 months of work experience, but I was told they can't give it to me due to not fulfilling the requirement.Tbhdesu, this is why I just lie on my resume
>>107719342>writing manual and specification for retard womenit's a difficult job alright
>comparing evening, weekend and night shift at fucking McD and convenience stores with trivial office work.
>>107721067That company insisted on hiring through the national office to get a subsidy, but I did end up lying to get a job at their competitor.
>>107719342compared to shifts that pay better than the normal shift.
>>107719342Another thing to keep in mind is that if you go work in a McD or a konbini, you're probably gonna pick one that is close so it's cheap if not free to commute to.Cover offices are in Tamachi which, while not Omotesando levels of rent, isn't cheap. Locals are doing things that bring in more money, so whoever picks this will have to commute a long distance unless they're living with someone earning more.

>>107719648Not in Japan where you can rent an apartment for 50 bucks a month. 9.70 USD per shift is enough in Japan to get you rich in a decade or two. This isn't America, buddy, where life is expensive and a dollar doesn't even get you a meal.
>>107723829>where you can rent an apartment for 50 bucks a monthI fucking wish. It's cheap outside of Tokyo sure but buddy have you looked at rent prices in Tokyo recently?
Holofags made fun of niji for like a year straight for doing this same thing once
>>107723829>Tell me you're from indonesia without telling me you're from indonesia
>>107724572>It's cheap outside of TokyoWell, don't live in Tokyo. A couple of girls I watch live in the chuubu region, close to the cities where the bullet train stations are instead and they rent a place that is 2 to 3 times bigger than what they'd get in Tokyo. If they gotta go to Tokyo (they generally don't, they're shut in streamers) they're like 2 hours away. Just plan around the train, or enjoy your shoebox sized apartment.

>>107719342If you actually click on the link and read it, you'll see that they're looking for something of a part timer technical writer assistant. It would be bullshit tasks like fixing typos. The money they offered is still bad, though, nobody is gonna do this for 1250 yen per hour unless they hope to get closer to a Holo. You can get 1400-1500 in Mcdonalds or as a conbini cashier.
>>107720515I mean fax is still a thing in Japan...
They are getting shitted on really hard in the comments.
>>1077261091.4-1.5K for McD would be in the upper range and it very likely requires to work a lot harder, though.Like another anon brought up above, a part time English teacher's hourly wage can get as low as 1.2K per hour (and as high as 4K+) according to Google. 1,250 yen / hour is pretty low, but for a part-time (4 hours a day, 2-3 days a week), assistant technical writing it doesn't seem that bad. They are probably aiming at those high school / undergrad students that take several part time jobs to make ends meet
>>107719342I'll do it
>>107726605Only by seething nijiniggers
>morons unaware of technical writing
>>107720515Paying someone to write documentation (and test shit) (and gather requirements) (and probably run the daily standup) is a thing, and companies dearly need it.>we'll just have the programmers do it when they complete a story point>full of typos, incomprehensible except to themselves and another programmer who worked on the shit>incomplete to all hell, only covers the shit they actually understood from the assignment and couldn't begin to tell you why the frobber needs to foo instead of barGood on Cover and the pay is low but it's not crazy for a replaceable role. I would do it (nihongo reps and location notwithstanding) but they would never hire me because I actually love my oshi and will not medicate.
>>107719342With an absolute dogshit 2 dollars in RPM you would need 32k views per day to beat this wage, i do youtube shit for like 20 hours a week and I get on average 500 bucks per week and it is growing (its 1k a week now but that is because it is christmas + a bit more views than usual). Getting this kind of success isnt hard and japs have to be suckers to work for that kind of money
This isn't even the first or second pay drama that's come up in recent years. Does Cover just naturally lowball everyone (including contractors)? Or as fans believe, the talents are well paid, but maybe not the rest of the corporate staff? If so it might explain why they seem to regularly mess up (missing visa renewals, not noticing AI generated work, timeliness of some perms, etc). They're not hiring the best, they're just hiring the cheapest.
>>107719342I'm honestly surprised that most tech corporations haven't already replaced most programmers with AI, but we're on track for that to happen, so smug fuckers like these shouldn't act so cocky, because in less than five years their careers will be obsolete, unless they devote themselves entirely to programming something with AI that, ironically, will also take their jobs away.
>>107727569You can tell who knows how to read a job application here since half of this thread thinks they're hiring a full on technical writer and sperging about it when the application pretty much spells out that you're doing technical clerical work for a couple of hours.
>>107727622It will be funny if the much derided english major wins in the end
>>107725445>office is literally in the middle of Tokyo>just don't live in Tokyo???Nobody sane living in Kanagawa or Chiba would apply to this, they can just work graveyard shift in konbini and get at least 1.4k yen an hour.
The pay is shit, but this is a role that is basically already being done by AI.
>>107727622AI isn't good enough. They will always need some programmers anyways because otherwise the blame for AI fucking up will fall on management.
>>107727622AI is LITERALLY a meme

>>107719342>>107720085The only time I technically got a "real job" was at the end of my license, 11 weeks intern. I was paid 6.5€/hour (1184円). All I did was basically programming exercises that probably never got used.Cover's a joke. They let my oshi leave because of lack of managers and whatever else and cna't even pay people properly ?
>part-time internship job pays part-time internship wages
>>107719342It's quite typical in creative industries for entry level jobs to pay exploitative low wages, they are hoping some fan will take the job just for the opportunity to be able to work at Cover.
>>107728139You really think you'd be leaving your desk during work?Unless you take a position where you're actually meant to talk to them like manager you're never gonna see them. Even if they go to the office why would they go say hi to the office workers stuck in their cubicles?
It's a part time coffee brewing and paper carrying job, helping out the people doing actual work. It pays less because you will work less. Retail and fastfood are comparably much harder work, so they should pay better.
>>107731135nice copium holodrone
