Blonde Blazer is cool, they loaded her with the boyfriend stuff at the start so less people feel inclined to default to her as a first girl you meet. And also because Invisigal is devs waifu, she gets more story focus, more romance focus, the endings are all about her outcome (hero/villain), so at every step the game tries to railroad you into her. She eventually realizes a line is being crossed and apologizes saying there are "complications" she'll fill him in about (aka having a boyfriend). All of this clearly serves as the final push convincing her to break up with Phenomaman, after which she asks you to dinner. From that point on she's just a supportive, normal girlfriend.

It's not clear how fast all of this happens, because the game's dialogue makes it clear that there are time skips happening between each episode whether it's a few days or a few weeks.

Massive spoilers ahead for anyone who cares but I'm just going to list off my problems with the last 2 episodes.

>Chase should have died. The emotional climax of the series is episode 6, it's a great "mentor sacrifices himself for the greater good" and gives him a nice coda to his character. Having him survive is lame. Having him come back with even more super powers to save the day is worse.

>Similarly, the Z Team's reaction to Invisigal is baffling. Even if Chase HAD died, they suddenly act like they loved him and cared about him the whole time, when none of this has been shown at all. Chase wasn't their dispatcher, was an asshole to them most times, and they are still very much hardened criminals learning to be heroes. Most of them have literally killed people too which makes Chase's particular hatred of Invisigal, and not say Flambae who lit a fucking mall on fire (oh nobody died in that fire really?) kind of strange. I was wondering if Invisigal personally wronged Chase but that never happened. Yet suddenly they all want her off the team because she endangered Chase, except for Golem and Flambae if you revealed yourself.

In fact the whole game kind of plays out like that, it's clear they wanted this to be a TV show because they don't have the bandwidth or resources to make wildly different branching paths depending on your choices so your choices all kind of lead to the same place.
