As other otomos told you Handy is indeed the word. I thought for the longest time it was a word borrowed from english but that's not the case, There are a few minor things that trigger me a little in the dialoge.

If you're talking to a stranger you would use "Sie/Ihnen" here it's a hornorific pronound and generally polite. So the sentance will be "Kann ich Ihnen helfen?". Now depending on how badly his car is broken he has a range and choice on how polite he wants to be when answering. Could be anything from "Gib ma dein Handy" aka "Gimme your phone". Or "Könnten sie mir ihr Handy ausleihen bitte".
But for the situation you're learning german for hornorifics would not matter that much, I'd say unless it's a blind date it would be wierd to use "Sie" on a date.
