Corpo meddling good
>>107923729If Cover did not go public then they would have probably sold the company to Brave or some shit. Yeah that would have been so much better.
>>107923772>that would have been so much betterThis but unironically because vtubing would be dead by now if it did.
this isn't even clipwatching levels of retardation, this is dramafagging over a thumbnailnuke SEA
>>107923729Clippers should kill themselves.
>>107923869I'll nuke your asshole first
>>107928385>bumps his shit thread by talking about other men's assholesanything you want to tell us champ?
>>107923729why are they talking about stocks as if the girls would care?
>>107923772Why? The company was profitable. Their operating expenses were basically nonexistent besides salaries. They don't even pay for their talents' concerts. So what was Yagoo spending a billion dollars on that would cause them to get bought out? Sounds like bullshit corporate logic just because they wanted to sell out.
>>107923772or, and here's an idea, instead of going public you manage your fucking finances and pay off the initial investors
>>107929739It's not bought out. Cover corp was initially a technology company that got funded by Venture cap, the vtubers were more to showcase the technology initially more than anything. With Covid vtubers popped off, Cover started making money so the initial investors wanted out, that meant that either they were going to sell their share to a third party that could have completely shifted how the company would have been managed or they go public and get to keep the sameish management structure while also allowing the initial investors to get out.
>>107930085Unless they're entirely funded by debt at seed stage which is not what Venture cap does, because that would drain cash from a cash tight company which defeats the purpose. That means they're funded by equity participation, the valuation the VC would want to get bought out, unless there's a prevailing agreement with management would be in function of generated profitability. So what would have happened instead is that management would have had needed to do what essentially amounts to a management buyout which would necessitate raising a ton of debt & having to change the revenue share to pay down the debt. Now that would be viable if all the talents bought in/agreed to it, but with people being able to walk away at any time it's not a valid proposition
>>107929739>>107930085Why do you guys hate holoearth so much...
>>107929576Because Fubuki said herself that she owns cover stocks?
>>107930461holoearth killed my father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate
>>107923772Unironically, yes. VSPO also got bought out by BRAVE, but because they have a competent staff, they managed to negotiate their contract with the clause of BRAVE not being allowed to meddle with the inner workings of VSPO. Yabs are still possible under BRAVE, though. Like, the files from audition applicants for VSPO got leaked and they had to put out a legal statement of apology.
>>107923729/biz/ fucking won
>>107930723based oji-san reference
>>107923729its insane people still trust this obvious PR plant that pretends to have the fans interests in mind
>>107930461Because it's a tech bro metaverse thing.
>selenbrown makes another dramab8 thread #1532
>>107923729>>107929739>>107930879They had to go public or sell the company as original investors wanted their money. You dumb monkeys just spent too much time shitting yourselves over something you don't watch and never did.
>>107931312>he unironically believes they were losing moneythe kind of stupid nigger to believe google and twitch operate at a loss
>>107931407>he unironically believes they were losing moneyNobody said that. You might just be a fucking retard, anon.
>>107931407they weren't losing money they just didn't have the cash on hand to pay out investors who wanted to pull outSo they had to go public to get the cash on hand to pay out the people who wanted out. That's literally the point of going public, you need an infusion of cash for either a new product, new facilities, or something else, and so you need to get that from selling shares
>>107930461We like holoearth though?
>>107923772Or maybe just shut down holoearth and focus on the vtubers ?
>>107932647I don't even like Hololive anymore. All they do is shill garbage and traumatize chuubas. There's a reason so many people are leaving.
