Is there any EN vtubers around that can actually manage to keep up kayfabe, i.e., stay in character? English vtubers seem allergic to separating their personal lives from their streams. No, I do not want to know that "funny" incident that happened to you at school or whatever the fuck you want to go on about.

When I watch streamers, that shit is tolerable. But when I watch vtubers, I ain't looking at whoever the hell you are legally. As far as I am concerned, you are an IRL anime girl made to entertain me, the viewer, and talk about your funny fictional anime girl stuff.

I thought the whole point of vtubing for these bitches was the separation of their IRL lives from their streaming careers. That's the whole point of the character names and introduction. But you can't have a good thing without the lowest denominator trying to cash in on it with their low effort slop, I guess.

So anons, any good EN vtubers around that can manage to keep up the kayfabe? Corporate or indie are both fine. Personality and everything else are secondary, I don't mind any GFE content, or if they're not interested in it. As a matter of fact, if either of those better matches their kayfabe, I'm good with it. Same with whether or not they’re parasocial. All I'm concerned about is them staying in character. Nothing's perfect, but anywhere close to that will do.

It is no different in Japan and if you believe so you're fucking stupid

Livestreaming killed kayfabe.
You cannot talk unscripted for several hours every week and keep up a character.

the vtuber is always a blend of the person behind the avatar and the character.
i think killed is a strong word when you consider how some do stay in character more than others. it's about style, how much is revealed, how it's presented.
personally i'm okay with it if the immersion is kept in tact. i know some of you faggots like your hand reveals and face reveals and shit but for me the line and the canary is that the chuber should respect their role.
no need to lie or shoehorn anything in but if you break character i'm out
