I would also drop the two toned hair unless you intend to have that color translated into the design elsewhere. When planning the 60 30 10 rule is a good place to being. 60 being your base color, 30 being secondary and 10 being accents.

Colour theory still eludes me. Also for everyone designing a character always remember the rules for appealing outfits: "if not color, then shape; if not shape, then texture; if not texture, then color" You can have a hoodie, but your color has to be interesting and dynamic, if you want to have more typical colors you'll need to vary up the pants or under shirt. If you don't want to do color or type you'll need to render the fabric/material different. Like think latex or mesh.
