I don't know. On one hand it would explain the massive delay. I don't think trains run THAT late unless some major accident happened, but I haven't seen anything on the news. On the other hand, would she really pack as many things as she did if she were flying? I don't think so. PCs are heavy. It would be pretty expensive to take that with you, would have a relatively high chance of breaking considering how they often mistreat luggage, risk getting lost, and you know how much of a pennypincher she is.
