Man, that was such a fun live. That said, it does feel like they didn’t use the AR tech as well as they did in the Light Up Tones live. The stage feels very “2D”, as in it doesn’t really have that 360-degree stage feel that Light Up Tones had, since most (if not all) of the camera work is focused on the front. I really miss that feeling from Light Up Tones, where it felt like you were watching right beside the stage and could view the show from every angle (and where the livers could just go wild on stage without having to focus only on the front side, Mikan no Uta).I’m guessing the livercam setup and the larger stage, sadly, don’t really help with that.

The earliest of note was probably Mori playing Guilty Gear Strive when it was new because that game really specifically aesthetically appeals to a certain kind of westerner for whatever reason, and some smaller western vtubers copycatted, but they didn't really become a thing until 1) Idol Showdown required every Hololiver and Hololive hanger on to play it, and 2) World Tour gave SF6 something for mainstream vtubers to mash in besides getting destroyed online. Honestly being vtuber content may be World Tour's only real accomplishment.Once SF6 was on the radar as something you would actually stream then you could have your Vspo ranked boars and invitational tournaments and now it's become its own thing where like Meloco played it this summer for the same reason she does all the GTAs rather than any interest in competitive gaming.
