Most of the big ones and big streamers in general either use a company you can pay to sponsor you for a work visa without actually giving you work (which you can get caught out on and then deported) or they'll work for an entertainment agency (like the trash taste guys do) and have them sponsor their visa.
You can also get a study visa and just do Japanese study to get that but given Mint's situation that can be risky due to the limit on work hours.
They can also move there for 6 months on a digital nomad visa but given most Japanese leases are 2 years and you'll basically be spending 20-30k for 6 months of a puny 1 room apartment if you go for monthly rentals..

There are good reasons for moving that benefit streaming. Most streamers end up enjoying their life there too much and end up with very few streams as we can see in a good portion of Holos. Some of them can thrive though as we can see with Biboo streaming many hours while also reaping the benefits of living there.
