I very rarely read or write in discords but realistically for community projects it's always part because you love your oshi and part you want some recognition (for those managing). It just seems like the most human explanation, but obv you want to main motivation to be your oshi. I still like that there are community projects to participate in even if not all the organizers are perfect. I'm a bit grateful that they do it cause I'm too autistic to do it. Luckily I'm not involved in any of the drama cause I mostly just swing by for some projects if they are nice
