Vtubing, streaming in general, is based on parasocial relationships. The viewers get attached to you, to your presence as a streamer. Discord servers are very good to cultivate that parasocialism, social networks in general, Twitter too.

Yeah it happens, she's been really good about boundaries so far and her other listeners don't seem to be doing or saying anything stupid so its been fine. There's just a bunch of times where I happen to be the only other listener around because she's that small, and if someone wants to tell me "no that's bad you cant do that!" they can go fuck themselves.
