Seeing these two threads made me realize how weak these gens are, especially Justice. Holo management really needs to pick the right people for EN5. Cute is good, but it’s not everything (and, to be fair, they’re lacking in the cute department too as of now, I'm still confused about Justice specifically). They should be looking for girls who are genuinely funny and actually talented: good singers and good streamers, for example. Gimmicks like modding games are useless (Biboo’s audition), especially in Hololive, where you have to ask for perms just to play regular games. We need real, concrete, useful talents.This combination is rare (cute + singer + funny streamer), but it’s important that they find it this time. We can’t settle for gimmicks. HoloJP has many girls like that (ex. Marine for funny + singer, or Korone and Miko for extremely good streamers), why can’t we have something similar in EN?

I feel the exact opposite. Advent and Justice finally made EN feel like part of Hololive proper. Before them you had a couple of people here and there who integrated, but Advent in particular made a big difference in increasing those numbers.
How can Holo compete with /lig/? Mint, Filian, Chibidoki, Camilla, Yuy, indies are more numerous and growing more popular all the time. Holo barely has an advantage anymore.

People will always point at someone like Shiori as a 'got ya' option if you talk about restrictions or need to push merch/selling stuff, but she is still very involved with pushing the Advent brand and the Advent merch/events, because Cover is heavily invested in the Advent branding.
