I watched quite a bit of her back when Myth, Hope, and Council were the only gens. I still tune into stuff like Danganronpa, P3, her old rpgmaker horror games, and sometimes one-off random horror games. If there's one thing I really respect about Reine, it's that she truly does what she wants to do.
As for the merch begging, if a talent does it a lot I just get mad at them and stop buying their shit, or in the case of the people I really like feel bad because I know they're getting some pressure from the back end with the massive amount of merch coming through the pipeline. I just can't personally justify buying more than a few things a year.

Cover is doing everything they can to boost revenue and it does make Hololive feel more corporate. The hard pressure sales tactics might help in the short term but I get the feeling that constantly shilling merch is going to hurt enthusiasm with most fans. HoloEarth will likely be the most expensive mistake in the history of Hololive and it's definitely hurting the company enough that management is desperate.
