To be fair it was systolic and diastolic heart failure. My only option was to sit there in that hospital bed and take the shots they prescribed me and the clinic visits afterwards are just monitoring stuff. So far as I know there's only one treatment for it so they're just going through the motions.
They're good people, they just tell me if my heart is working or not then go to the next patient. Thumbs up from them, thumbs up from me.
I guess every doctor is different however.

Depends on your condition, if any. Routine stuff is fast but any slightly threatening condition makes them spend significantly more time since they gotta narrow down the possible causes.

I worked at a place with a doctor, who if constantly doubted like that, would drop a huge 10kg medical physiology book on the table and ask the patient if he'd like to read the entire book and teach him the proper treatment instead, that or he would point at his diploma on the wall and ask who's the one with the most medical experience.
