By the time we're fighting the Arrancars you just can't avoid the fact that Kubo's story is structured like 2 six-year olds making shit up on the spot to one-up another, and I couldn't take it anymore. It was a real chore to read to the end, it's hard to take fights seriously when they're always resolved through asspulls. He is an amazing character artist though, and very efficient too (hence the memes about him never drawing backgrounds).
