As a recovering mobafag (8 years sober and counting) goonling who hates playing but likes watching FPS, I'll say this: mobas are dogshit for streaming. They just lack the visceral visual quality of FPS. Imagine tournament-level Apex but it's 2D and there's no PoV so to speak. It's all strategy, economy, rotations and finer details of teamfight execution. Mobas are very knowledge-checky, and even if you know what to look for, as far as watching goes, only pros for improvement and the highest profile tournaments for entertainment makes sense.It's fun to watch, say, Pomu being a clueless menace in Apex, it wouldn't be fun in a moba. Nimi's chemistry with Grape makes the latest Dota streams better but still.Now, to Deadlock. The mobafag in me screams "why the fuck would you being a fucking aiming reticle into a moba" and the FPS watcher in me finds all the moba elements tedious as a viewer. It's kinda the worst of both worlds.But I guess that's the price that needs to be paid for both my favorite vtubers to appear together on the screen.
