Another anon was telling me to decrease the number of steps for dmd as 10 steps was way too high, but this was the exact reason why it was like that. Lowering the denoise, gives less juice to the model, so it needs the extra steps to finish what it has been doing. Another recommendation is to try only background with radial/diagonal, start color - black, end color - random, and maybe 1 or 2 shape layers with a few shapes on each + postprocessing and nothing else. I don't like the futa at all either but it's clearly not why genners left, they left because AI image gen, at least of the kind we tend to care about (uncensored, ideally local) has been mostly stagnant for a long time now and there's only so long you can do it for before getting tired of it. The models are all not good enough to do anything really truly crazy without a ton of effort. but they're also too good to have all the lora, mixing, prompting secrets, etc comparisons that existed in the early days of the threads.I also anecdotally feel like the requests have gradually gotten worse but maybe that's just a side effect of the generating itself getting less interesting

And add about 25% more steps than your normal 1st step gen without hires. It could be that it's completely botched, but I recall using something similar in forge/a1111 in the past and it was working fine, but probably not worth the trouble of manually upscaling them.Your images are awesome and they don't need these uninspired tricks anyway. >108971421z-image base is pretty nice. it seems to have a much better stylistic range then turbo and is much better at prompt comprehension. apparently it recognizes more ACG characters as well, with someone saying that it recognizes nahida where turbo doesn't but I haven't tested that much myself. it barely recognizes gura though so unlikely for it to have much of any vtuber knowledgeunfortunately lora training time balloons up to 256s/it but that was on onetrainer which i was trying out because a couple of people said it trains better loras for base so i'll have to try going back to ai-toolkit and see if i just fucked up some settings from being unfamiliar with onetrainer
