This kind of grew out of the whole vtuber "tummy hort" trend where gradually the audiences en masse realized that tummy hort was code for periods.

Where this tracker crosses line from potentially well intended to creepy is the use of it for the purpose of /fertility/ tracking (ovulation and hornyness) instead of health and wellness (menstruation symptoms).

The makers figure it out simply based on the vtubers' twitter posts about period symptoms. Often they directly state that it's the time of the month or indirectly refer to common signs like cramps, bloating or other severe pain that lines up to a periodic timeline. Then they extrapolate from the period to estimate the rest of the cycle, including ovulation.
