Is it true that riggers have too much power over vtubers? Been seeing some discussion lately about unprofessional riggers.
>>
>>109144595
If you hire cheap riggers, you get shit
If you hire suspiciously cheap riggers, you get the sort of people described here
>>
>>109144595
This retard bought a fucking PREMADE MODEL, violated the TOS by saying stupid political shit with it, and then has the gall to complain.

Like girl, you spent 100 bucks on this just buy another one and read the EULA this time you cheap retard.
>>
>>109144635

No idea then. Don't really care.

I know nothing about rigging. Is it really that difficult that you have to hire someone to do it for you?
>>
>>109145513
Not necessarily difficult, but absolutely tedious, even for simple rigs.

shame on a rigga who try to run game on v-gga
>>
>>109145513
There's a reason why industry riggers are often overbooked. Sure you can DIY, but if you want actual good rigging, it needs to be done by a pro since the average person just does not have the skill nor experience for it.

2dhater from /jp/ laughing all the way to the bank.
2DHATER WAS RIGHT
FUCK LIVE2D PEASANTS, 3D MASTERRACE.
Dropkick riggers, etc.

>>109145513
As the other anon said, it's just tedious as fuck.
I've made my own 2D rigging system before and while it's not even close to what L2D can do, it's still the same general workflow - making a fuckload of layers, giving them some properties that define how they move around, having to pin things in the right way, testing to ensure things don't look really retarded at specific positions, or that you don't end up with dumb shit like Goomboid, adding proper physics, etc.
As Cubism got updated, it made life insanely easier for making proper translations of those layers, allowed you to mask out textures so you could have invisible parts become visible only when you move over enough (really useful for adding depth to hair and clothing textures without adding more layers)

As an alternative, with a decent 3D model and a flat cartoon shader, you can emulate L2D. You just have to deal with tracking jank.
But you instantly gain access to a fuckload more flexibility with buying and adding on new outfits, you can't realistically bolt stuff on to L2D without it looking retarded.
All that pinning functionality that vtubers can do with L2D is a hack. (same with hiding and tweaking layers dynamically)
It has improved a lot, especially with Vtube Studios more recent updates to pinning, but it's still janky.

Retard nigger, this isn't the one you're thinking of, and that one didn't violate the TOS since she provided proof that they changed the TOS after she bought it (the company even very smartly tweeted that they will add stuff to the TOS AFTER the incident). So yeah, you lost, tranny.

>Muh job
No one cares. This started as a hobby space and grifters, whores, and retards want to make it into their job so they shit up. Just because a few paypigs send you donations doesn't mean the space is going to magically change. People will still be retarded and try to rip you off and bullshit you. You get what you get. If it's too much then don't quit your day job until you have the funds to tank stupid shit from hobbyist drama.
>>
Rigger fatigue.
>>
>Have shed built
>Turn it into a greenhouse
>Shed builder tells you that you can't use the shed anymore
After you get paid unless you're commissioned to repair/work on the model fuck off

Wow you actually need legally binding, clear contracts if you hire people? That is wild

>>
rigger leaking DMs who cares if you were professional in convo
rigger not rigging this is why make payment agreement
rigger having bs tos, who cares about riggers tos if you have already got rigging contract done and you have bo complaints about it
ultimately you need rigger who does good job in tinely manner
>>

Getting women awake and pressing a go live button is hard enough. You want them to go to court fighting BS legal ass slapping on top of it now?

Doesn't matter. You still waste a shitload of time and money even on a slamdunk. The best case scenario is you have a lawyer threaten them before a case even starts and they back down.

Charlotte Suzu is doing that. In her case she has a longterm artist she loves working with but can't afford a rigger so she is doing it herself now.
