But this thread reminded me of how Kotone used to do this thing where she'd sing A Whole New World except only one of the parts, with the idea that the viewers are supposed to sing the other. And she'd compliment their singing and stuff even though obviously she cannot hear any of it.

Of course, it's karaoke, the idea is to sing and have fun with your oshi. If I just wanted to sit and listen, I'd look for studio music. Again, it's karaoke, not a talent show.
