It does have limitations like an average quality (which is enough, unless you need to go for morethan 1080p), and that they also add to every place where they can that you are using their service to multistream, but it's free and doesn't consume more than a singular stream because it is their service and servers the ones in charge of doing that.
on multistreaming, i've been using restream for the last year and it doesn't need anything more than a normal stream since you're just broadcasting your stream to their servers and they simulcast it to yt/twitch. If you're on the free plan all you really need to do is edit thumbnails after you're done going live to remove their watermark. also whenever you go live on youtube it puts it into a separate livestream tab rather than just in your videos so you can make long form content or edited vods and it won't be cluttered. if you wanted to combine chats as well i recommend socialstreamninja. it's also customizable if you're willing to put some time into it.
