People use discord because the people they want to talk to are on discord, any competitor is only as good as the established userbase, and as a business hoping to use it as part of your marketing strategy (which Katabasis is, to an extent) you'd be a fool to ignore the biggest avenue out there.

Do we trust them with our data? A decentralized service can somewhat alleviate the second point though unless everything is really ironclad I wouldn't put it past the developers to find ways to compromise it over time if they feel it's in their interests to do so.

No offical numbers have been collated yet but across the US and Canada dozens of people who are used to the cold have frozen to death. I live in the northern US, so a bit south of were Kiki will be, I work indoors, I am fat, I am used to the cold, and even I am COLD. Just to get too and from my car I wear>long underwear>dress pants>2 shirts>a down jacket (I am allergic to down)>a leather jacket (you need something not made of cloth to beak the wind or you will be exponentionally colder)>A hat>wool socks (puffy cotton or polyester socks are worthless)>Shoes with special insalating insolesReminder this is just to walk maybe 100 meters through a parking lot, and I am still shivering wen I get to my car. If she is cold in a heat wave she will be absolutly fridged in a polar vortex.I know I am not outwardly lovey all the time but I do care/worry about you Kiki.Unrelated you know how Kiki is always saying that she will keep streaming and loving us until the day she dies? well... Not to mention that this is not something you can hide from the local news
