The counter complaint was done in order to bring the videos back. He didn't realize that it meant his personal info would be handed to Cover. So he bragged about it because he thought he was scot free. Even when it came out that he was getting sued, he still buried his head in the sand and bragged. His online life was everything to him.
I think it wasn't real to him right up until the letter reached the home of his parents or the landlord he is living with, after which he panicked (way too late) and then privated everything. (this is apparently seen as a good move in the Japanese court system, but It aint a good one in the US one, cause it makes it seem like his counter claim was knowingly fraudulent lol, and decent lawyer is gonna establish mens rea. he's gonna get buttfucked).
And to anyone saying the judgement wont reach him, it will at least stop him from ever building a channel on youtube again, and the Japanese court system WILL consider this history in their own judgements. Also Youtube might be able to take the money from whatever might be owed to him by them.
