It's difficult to answer this without knowing what direction you want to take your channel. If you want to go heavily into ASMR with just some gameplay on the side then just general flavour of the month kusoges would probably work well (like those weird shovelware simulator games that appear every other week). If you want to primarily do gameplay then there's a whole range of options, just stay away from MOBAs like League because even for big chuubas that tends to put a lot of people off.

I think this is a common mistake some vtubers make. It really doesn't matter if you're bad at the games you play, in fact quite often being bad at games is a positive draw for viewers. People enjoy seeing chuubas making silly mistakes.

It's just that there isn't a huge crossover with vtuber viewers. People interested in watching MOBA streams tend to gravitate towards male fleshsteeamers. There are some vtubers who play MOBAs (including League) but they tend not to do very well and those that still retain okay CCV do so because they're either corpo or ex-corpo. As an indie starting out it's going to be very difficult to draw an audience if that's your main content.

Depending on whether you're comfortable with doing it on stream, singing practice or similar things can also be a good way to bring in an audience. Allowing viewers to follow you on a journey of self improvement is very much an aspect of the idol journey.

If your model and the thread image were made by you, then I would say that you already have something to work with. Why not do drawing streams? I also saw that you have Blue Archive stuff on your throne, so play that if it's what you enjoy. The thing with VTubing now is that it's become oversaturated, so it's going to be hard to build an audience just by playing specific types of games and whatnot. Really, your best bet is to do collabs if you want growth.
I've been in the same boat of feeling like I don't have any hobbies and/or am wasting my days away. Literally look up a list of hobbies and try some that sound interesting; it could be that you just aren't aware of some things that you might enjoy doing. The same thing happens to most people, especially when it comes to their career.
ASMR heavily attracts a parasocial audience. Combine that with the fact that you're a 1-view, and you've got a perfect recipe for grooming. Don't be afraid to draw a line with what kind of ASMR you do; just because someone comments that they want you to do something doesn't mean you have to comply (i.e. ear-licking, hand-cams, etc.). I would be on the lookout for groomers in general, and DO NOT create a discord channel for your account. There's a reason why they're called groomcords. If you're not a 3-view, then you probably don't need a moderator, and especially avoid making someone a mod if they ask to be one unprompted.
It would also be good to look into making better thumbnails and titles. The ASMR video is a good start, but people are unlikely to click on a stream with the thumbnail being a sreencap of some league match. Content creation is a whole spectrum from BGM to SEO, so there really is a lot to learn and invest your time into. Try to enjoy being a VTuber above all, and don't force it if it's making you unhappy. Best of luck!

I replied to you earlier mentioning /wvt/ and /asp/. In theory those temporary generals (particularly /asp/) are meant for people just like you who want to start out or are just starting out in vtubing. In reality they're both filled with schizos who will attack people endlessly, as well as very small vtubers who try to sabotage each other because they have a crab bucket mentality. As for posting a thread on the catalog like you have done with this - the catalog is rarely a good place to discuss anything seriously unfortunately. You've been very lucky with most of the responses you've received. Most of the catalog is a handful of the same anons making bait threads to rile up other anons, most of the responses are deliberately hostile in order to get an angry response. Like I say you've been lucky.

That has it's own issues. You're no less likely to find groomers but you also have the false positivity that comes with that kind of place. One benefit of this site is you can get honest feedback but you need to be familiar enough with the place to be able to parse genuine comments from shitposting. Like guarding your personal information, ensuring there aren't things that can be used to link your real life identity to your vtuber one. If you check /asp/ they have a guide in the OP that can be used as the starting point but mostly you need to be very careful to segregate stuff tied to your vtuber persona very strictly from stuff tied to your real life self. People can be very persistent and spot even seemingly tiny links so you have to be cautious about this stuff early on.

I'm not a VTuber myself, but I've been in the space long enough to understand the general do's and don'ts. As for feeling like you're lacking, that's a very common and completely normal feeling to have. There's not much in the way of advice that anyone can give to make you feel better about that, but I would try to use that as fuel to improve yourself. Don't compare yourself to large and successful creators, and, instead, use them for inspiration. Try not to be a perfectionist, because you'll never be satisfied with your work if you are. Of course, I can say all of this, but it's up to you to actually change your mindset. That's no easy change to make, and I would encourage talking to someone about it instead of bottling feelings up. Australia has free mental health services if you ever need to take that route.
I would caution against making a big list of hobbies you want to try. It's very common in many spaces for people to be stuck in a loop of researching instead of actually doing (drawing and learning languages are two big examples). In this case, make sure you're actually going out and trying the hobbies themselves.
As for you viewership, it would be good for you to know just how many people are in the same boat as you. According to a reddit thread (so take it with a grain of salt), you are in the top 6% of streamers (on Twitch at least) if you have more that 5 concurrent viewers. This means that 94% of streamers have 5 or less viewers at any given time. I'm not saying this to make it feel like growing an audience is hopeless, but you need to know that you may be streaming to nobody for a while. You need viewers to get more viewers, so this will probably be the hardest point of growth for you.
People say not to post here due to the general toxic nature of the board. This place is rife with groomers and antis who don't actually enjoy VTubers as a hobby and only post for the sake of (You)s and stirring up drama. That said, there are some genuine people still left on the board, so you can glean good advice from here. I just wouldn't try to maintain a presence on /vt/. Try to focus more on your VTuber persona on socials. Engagement is your friend, so try to post about streams, your model, art, games, etc. instead of personal woes. Consider making an alt account for venting an whatnot. It would be good to see a refernce sheet for you character and maybe a streaming shedule. Fan art is always nice, and consistent - or, at least predictable - streams help with retention.

I think why League got picked on here is because the game has a stronger personality than you will as a streamer. Lots of people already play it, and getting attention to your stream is as competitive as the game itself. What happens in the game is going to take your attention and the attention of the viewers. Sure you can talk about stuff while you play, but as soon as something happens (a teamfight, you get ganked, etc) the focus is on what's happening in the game.
What has to set you apart from every other League streamer is how you draw that focus back to you. For some it's skill and showing off how good you are at the game, but even as a weaker player the way you react can be entertaining. Maybe you dive a fountain and laugh when everything goes wrong. Maybe you rage. The viewers should be there thinking "Something happened in the game. I want to see how SHE reacts to this."
This is going to apply to every game you try to play. The difference is how much time you get to be the focus and how much attention the game takes away from you.

At it's core, streaming is entertainment. The viewers are going to want to get something out of it, just like how you want something out of it. You said you're pretty depressed, you want people to talk to, and to use streaming as motivation to get better at things. What do you want the people who watch you to get? Do you want them to feel less alone and like someone understands them if they're depresed? Should they cheer you on when you try to improve and get motivated to try something new that they wanted to do? Are they going to have an easier time relaxing and falling alseep to your ASMR? Will you give them a place where they can unwind and escape with you into the games you play (like laughing with you in the League example)?
It's great that you want things for yourself. I hope you get these things and become a happier person. I think if you can find what you give to your viewers, they'll support you as you try to get what you want in return.
