vox lost another 10k subs
>>109750145This sub losing is kinda of a weird thing that's happening with niji. They have been controversy free for a while now but why are they losing subs still? It doesn't make any sense
>>109750208And it's not just vox there are other like elira who are losing subs too. Are these dead subs or did someone bot their subs to the point that the subs are getting removed by the algo.>When you bot subs the YouTube algorithm after detecting the said bot accounts remove them from their server which in turn leads to massive sub loss
>>109750208>>109750248it's called inertiayou wouldn't get it
>>109750259Explain it then
>>109750208Youtube deleting bots over time.
I've noticed a major uptick in rather minor Niji issues / events that have obtained thread coverage. Which makes me believe that the intent isn't raw, but performative. I want to blame Phasefags since they had a lot of negative attention recently due to Jelly and Clara, but that would be too easy. Something bigger is coming
>>109750208>>109750277NTA but when a channel loses momentum it stops getting pushed to new people momentum is everything in content creation. if you stop producing content or for whatever reason people mass unsub from you at a point, youtube stops recommending you to new people. It will then become very, very, very hard to get any of that back. The mass unsub event effectively killed the potential growth of many of the nijien channels forever.Curious, how many of the nijis have recovered fully since that, anyways? I know most of the newer ones did, but any of the golden 20 grow past where they started?
>>109750277basically when a ton of people unsub at once, youtube stops pushing your channel to new people. And your old subs will naturally attrit away over time as people lose interest, and since you aren't getting any new people to replace them, you end up with a gradual sub loss.
>>109750440nope, not a single one of them is anywhere close to their peak. Most of them haven't even started gaining subs yet. It's only really Meloco who's managed to peak again and that's on the back of the jp audience
>>109750484Nah, it's more than Meloco. Pretty sure everyone post-golden 20 made it back (except for the graduates). Uki I remember somehow made it out unscathed after a little more than a year and is growing again but dunno about any of the others.
>>109750440>if you stop producing contentHe streams regularly though?
>>109750475If that's the case why ain't Miko or pekora affected by this? They also had mass unsubbing in past
>>109750664Because unlike miko and pekora's worthless chinese "fans," the ex-nijifans who unsubbed were real people who actually interacted with the content, leaving a massive vacuum in their wake. The few remaining cultists don't interact nearly enough with the channels to make up for that loss. >>109750647Eh, it's more that that's the other main way a channel loses momentum. It's very, very rare for a streaming channel to take long hiatuses and still keep growing. Gura's really the only case I can think of within vtubing of it happening at all, but I digress
>>109750734>miko and pekora's worthless chinese "fansI'm not talking about the bug men here. Pekora rom incident and Miko green incident lead to them losing 50k subs in 2 months
>>109750734I would disagree. There are many vtubers who go on long hiatus and return and stream normally and still get good subs. Pretty sure filian is gonna do the same soon
>>109750822Again, considering their viewership or metrics haven't budged an inch, I doubt the authenticity of those subs to begin with. It's a very weird case.
Why did he fall off anyway. Was he part of the black stream?
>>109750734>Because unlike miko and pekora's worthless chinese "fans," the ex-nijifans who unsubbed were real peopleHoly fucking cope
>>109750208>oh I'm still subbed to these evil fuckers? *clicks unsub*there
>>109750484Enna did gain some back. But that was mostly doing a cover for Fulgur's graduation, doing a shitload of huge JP events including tagging along with the Nornis concert. Since her JP blitz ended she went right back to losing subs again.
>>109750850How do you know about the black stream, but not who was part of it?
>>109750248>detecting the said bot accounts remove them from their server which in turn leads to massive sub lossAh so thats why every hologirl got MASSIVELY culled after debut and every so often and gura has the highest dead sub account of anyone on youtube. Thanks for the info.
>>109750647"Stop producing content" means literally a few days, a week or even a month. If you were consistent and stop for 2 days, youtube rapes you and throws you into the gutter and you now have to climb out of it. He has taken large breaks. The only reason they still get pushed is because they're under a network brand which has active people. If they were indie, their channel would be DEAD and they would literally have to make a new one.
>>109750932>hologirlit used to happen to nijis tooup until they lost so much momentum that nobody even bothered to care about debuts anymore. Both Ike and Finana got their channels flagged from the hype at the time. Finana had to delay her debut by a few days because of it.
>Niji EN is all but dead with the intended target audience>the actual remaining audience is already subbed to all of them>people unsubscribe for whatever reasons>there is noone who could make up for those who leaveIt's really not that complicated.
>>109750857NIJISEETHE
>>109750849I agree as well. That's why I am saying the subs were botted
>>109750932NTA. I have been keeping eye on niji and holo subs for a while . Other than Miko none of them seems to be losing subs like nijien livers
>>109751067Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised in this case. I can't remember clearly but I swear something similar happened back with the coco taiwan thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a whole bunch of botted subs that they decided to revoke or some shit. But even then wouldn't it happen all at once rather than over several months? Miko losing subs month by month is closer to the niji stuff but clearly it's not that simple since her viewership seems unaffected.
>>109750519>Pretty sure everyone post-golden 20 made it back (except for the graduates). No, only Meloco made it back to where she was before the selen shock, nobody else made it back, and the only ones who are growing are the ones who debuted afterwards, and have a fraction of what nijien enjoyed back in their hayday
>>109750664because it's localized to Miko and Pekora instead of affecting the entire network at once, so the algo doesn't get the idea that no new people are interested in them because hololive continues to circulate viewers amongst the network. The reason why it is so persistent for the nijiens is that it hit the entire network at once, which is why the only ones growing are the few who managed to tap into the JP market
>>109750664they got new people through hololive events, because that's just what hololive doesMeanwhile Nijisanji can't even get fans of their male talents to watch the females without them freaking out
>>109750208youtube constantly culls old subs, if you dont get new ones youll see them drop.
>>109751067>>109751115>holokeks unironically repurposing their 'unsub bots' joke from 2024 as an actual copelmao
>>109751329but that was a nijinigger cope though?
I looked at NijiEN's viewer recently, and holy shit they have taken a massive dive even from last year. A lot of them are mega-botted so it's often hard to tell what their real numbers are. But it looks like basically the whole branch is sub-500 ccv now, except a couple of the top guys. The decline just keeps on going, it's never even slowed down. Back in their heyday there weren't any 3views in the whole branch, the lowest peformers got like 2k, the top performers broke 10k.Now it's more like, the lowest performers get 150, and the high performers get about 800. It's a catastrophe the likes of which has never been seen in streaming. The craziest thing is they never learned from their mistakes and just keep doubling down, tripling down, quadrupling down, even as half the branch graduates and the viewers leave by the thousand. There is something wrong with them, they cannot fix their mistake or adjust their behavior.
This is how I remember it
>>109750519>golden 20Who are those supposed to be in EN?You would expect these to be the cash cows that Niji rubs into your face at every opportunity, but this is not how Niji EN works, they have never worked like this. The single most profitable member has always been Pomu and she never got anything. The second most profitable has always been Scarle and you could be mistaken to think that she's not in Niji EN at all, she's so disconnected from everyone else in that branch.Meanwhile, those who get everything are Elira and the guys. The guys might have had viewers in a past long gone, but those viewers were (comparatively) cheap. And Elira? She got no money and no viewers, but was still treated like the queen bee.
>>109750208YouTube culls subs all the time. The real story here is that his gain of new subs is so pathetic that he can't get back what he loses due culls.
>>109752956>Who are those supposed to be in EN?The first 20 talents to debut, the gens between Lazulight and Noctyx. The term spread some time ago among parts of the fanbase on Twitter, pissing off other fans. IIRC a talent (I don't rember who) from one of the latter gens was pretty butthurt by it
How does milord save his career?
>>109750145this is nothing for him
>>109753001Does the culling include accounts that have been inactive for a while too?
Literally who? QRD?
>>109750145Why? I thought he was one of the most popular players in that gfa event they're doing.
>>109756304He is one of the most popular Niji EN members in that GTA event they're doing. That's the thing with superlatives - there's the skinniest kid at fat camp, the least inbred member of Haus Habsburg, and the most popular liver in Niji EN.
