Have to admit, I was one of those who said Marine shouldn't have joined there, I kinda regret it now if she took the outcry that deeply, I wasn't aware she was also a beginner too, it was just unfortunate that she so easily stomped literally everyone because of the inherent game imbalance at their skill level. If anything, that she was a beginner and was able to dominate to that extent is a strike against the game. The real fault is whoever organized it since I don't think they did enough research into the balancing in game before making it a tourney. The tourney basically got more boring to watch as it went on as it became obvious that puyo had a stupidly big advantage outside of literally top tier play. The creators overtuned it. So likely those watching their oshi play tetris and get crushed through really no fault of their own made it seem like just an 'I win' button. That's not fun to watch, it can be upsetting.

Hololive's likes have always been abnormally high compared to other streamers, especial EN. So you can't really use them to extrapolate his actual viewer numbers. You'd probably have to use other flesh/FPS streamers for that.
Also his VOD views are pretty high there, but that could just be botted, or just a ton of viewer churn from people seeing the view count and opening the stream for 5 minutes and leaving. You'd need average watch time to draw any real conclusions there, but that metric isn't public.
