Promise is only 3 talents it's absurdly suspicious that Kronii didn't get a painted update. Fans were starting to get upset since it felt like the Promise nendos had been completely cancelled but this was such a baffling management decision. They would give general information on whether to continue development on a nendo or whether they need to stop development. Cover likely did ask Good Smile to show off all of the Promise nendos at exhibits but they likely knew through most of 2024 that the Fauna and Mumei nendos were never getting released. The same is true for the current 1.0 version of the Kronii nendo. The major Japanese companies sign an NDA unlike fans they are not completely kept in the dark.

>>110006029If I had to hazard a guess, anime merch the production committees just go for the quick pump and dump. You get your quick single cour anime and as many merch collabs as they can as fast as they can. It all has to come down around when the anime airs so people still have it in their mindshare and they're done. For holo stuff I imagine cover tries to coordinate and spread out releases. Staggering figures leads to casual fans, maybe even non fans who just fall into the brand hypnosis into buying a figure because it's out. It's also easier to get customers when you don't overload them with merch drops for a single talent. Especially now since there's so much drama with America and tariffs. Cover is pretty incompetent when it comes to many things but their marketing and monetization wing seems to do a good job with trying to keep a constant bleed on peoples' wallets. I think they've figured out there's not many talent exclusive fans for Hololive EN so overlapping on specialty goods, like a figure, might get you less sales overall than if you offer figure and try to get as many HoloEN fans to buy it at a time.
