Why did Shiina feel the need to pretend to be a white woman when she is Chinese?

I lime the way she says "cookie" and "awesome".

>>
She wants to attract a certain demographic that are enjoyers of white women
>>
bc her model iss white duh
>>
She's one of the biggest redemption stories in vtubing. The wontons moment could have driven her out of the business as a lolcow but she preserved.
>>
>>110127972
My rrat is that she said she was from "star woman land" (her saying she was from China) to hide from the still ongoing chink hate from the coco stuff and now that it's blown over she came to embrace the full chink-ness because she feels better that way for some reasons idk
>>
>>110127972
She is ashamed to be Chinese (as she should be)
>>
>>110127972
5th gen Korean American here. Alot of western born Asians hate being called Chinese or Japanese because to them it makes it sound like they were born in China just like when you call someone Mexican people assume they're from Mexico.
>>
>>110130115
That's fine if you're literally totally integrated but if you're also keeping that side of your identity by staying in touch with Chinese traditions, speaking Chinese, celebrating Chinese New Year and cooking wontons, it seems like you want to have it both ways. Complete acceptance as a full unhyphenated American but also being possessing a unique foreign culture that whites can never understand.
>>
>>110127972
she makes self deprecating asian jokes all the time so I don't know what you're talking about
>>

Can someone explain why she says (what I presume) is cookie at the end of nearly every sentence? I only watched her recently (I've been on a vtubers playing Lifeline binge and her playthrough came up - my only knowledge of her was the wontons thing.). I enjoyed the playthrough and her voice but that confused me.
>>
>>110130816
Because of a bet and stuck with it because her chat thinks it's endearing (it's not)
>>
>>110130944
>(it's not)
Look at this tough cookie, all awesome and too cool4school.
>>
>>110130816
She use to not say it nearly as often, but its kinda grating at the current rate. No clue why she started saying it way more often now, though.
>>
>>110132011
>>110130816
She started saying it as a bet, but realized that its a subtle way to do GFE without much of the downside. Think of other pet names like "dear" or "honey", cookie works the same but is more unique to her fan community " butter cookies".
>>
>>110130816
Oh anon no, she's actually saying "cucky"

>5th gen Korean American here.
You are either are RARE get or just straight up lying like a faggot.
>>
>>110130227
I think it makes more sense to say
>if your family has been here since 1903, wouldn't they have intermarried with other asian groups, if not whiteoids?
Seems sus if you're 100% something after 123 years.
>>
Because despite the nonstop propaganda for the last 30+ years, white is still the most sought after.
>>
>>110127972
Because English people and their descendants are, to this day, weirdly obsessed with race.
When you live in a country born out of the british empire that obsession infects you.
>>
>>110133255
The English weren't, it was only the ones who left and became Americans that were/are. The English never considered the Italians not to be white, the Americans did though. Even with the Irish they were considered culturally inferior rather than racially inferior (again different to the Americans).

t. coping bong.
>>
>>110133529
Coping about what? I'm not making a value judgement on being obsessed with race, I'm making the factual claim that the Americans were and are a lot more obsessed with dividing even what most of the rest of the world sees as white into non-white races.

Bet turned actual tick. I actually watched some of her content before but now it's fucking impossible to watch because of this. It's so damn annoying.

Shiina is the best streamer in Phase, now.

Lol, lmao even.

There's a webm wiith her original wontons post set to music. It's my favorite wontons-themed content.
>>
>>110136998
I genuinely can't understand what Wemi is saying most of the time.
