The way the youtube algorithm works is it looks at what videos you spend time on and look at what other people who spent the same time watch. Then they throw that into your feed and as you watch/skip it gets more and more refined

So, a while ago something came to my mind : what if people get tired of seeing the same clips (because clippers all use the same/similar clips and upload them with a different edit) and started blocking/skipping/etc

That would sink the number a bit because the algorithm would see lots of "similar interests" being skipped or blocked.
