She was an incredible Japanese/Spanish speaking VTuber.

Rest in peace, princess.

She was formerly Hana Tsukito and was with at least 5 different VTuber agencies, with 3 of them going bankrupt.

This is probably the 2nd VTuber ever I heard of passing away, the first being Darleeng.
>>
>>110669631
There's been a bunch of sub 10k VTubers passing away. Most of them cancer or some other type of sudden illness. Just haven't made threads about them.

Another one was pretty recent, probably a month ago at most. Husband found her Twitter password while digging through her stuff, and announced that she passed away peacefully about a year ago and announced it to her fans. Her last post was something about being hospitalized and saying she'll be back.
>>
>>110669676
I'm surprised there aren't more suicides.
>>
>>110669676
Do Vtubers get sick from being Vtubers i.e. sitting around poor diet etc or are they already sick and that's why they're Vtubers.
>>
>>110669676
nigga is at the forefront of vtuber deaths
>>
>>110669951
The latter. Most of them are mentally unwell. Hence why a lot of their viewers want to "fix" them.

Actual, mentally healthy women, are out socializing instead of being in front of a screen all day. They have lives. Most VTubers are women who can't find attention IRL so they go online. This pertain mostly to Japanese ones, but the women there were failed idols so they turn to VTubing. Much like most JAV stars wanted to made it as idols, but couldn't cut it, so they turn to VTubing instead. High self-harm/suicide attempt rates in both.

Very few of them actually have healthy lives. The ones that do are just bored housewives with nothing to do, so they get company online and occupy their free time and maybe earn some extra money on the side.
>>
>>110670078
I don't really follow VTubers, but I follow Japanese news so I have their deaths constantly pop up on my feed. I'll probably start posting them more often. Reading up on their past/history is really interesting to me. If you see a thread about it in the next month or so it'll probably be me if somebody doesn't break the news here first. Most people don't care for smalltubers.

Man, that's tragic

>Most people don't care for smalltubers.
Every year some people create threads asking "have you heard of vtuber deaths? I only know of this Chinese girl who died in a car crash."
Given that there are tens of thousands of vtubers worldwide, it is statistically very possible that every year there are, say, 10 deaths of vtubers for any reason, illness or even accidents. However, these deaths are of very small streamers, so they go mostly unnoticed. What people really want to know is if any notable streamer from a bigger corporation (Hololive, Nijisanji, VSPO, etc.) has died.
Unlike previous cases, I actually recognize the MAHA5 name, although I didn't follow this streamer in particular. As far as I know MAHA5 is an Indonesian company with a Japanese branch.

It's def the second one.
Most of the things that will kill you because of sitting around and not moving will get you in your late 40s to 50s. There are only a handful of vtubers in that age range.
It's more that vtubing is now a career opportunity for women who are already physically (Peo, IM, Gura, etc) or mentally (Shondo, Grimmi, Gura, etc) unwell.
>>
>>110668598
>Japanese/Spanish
How is this relatively common? I feel there's a good amount of Japanese-Spanish speaking vtubers. A few of those were in IdolES, which then became just Idol and now ChromaSHIFT.
Are they from mixed Japanese-Latin American families?
I think even Otsuka Ray, the mom vtuber that has her daughter on stream, uses Spanish in her streams too.
>>
>>110670457
Probably Flip.
>>
>>110670457
They mostly don't actually speak the language, but know there are a lot of spics in their audience so they try to speak it to appeal to them.
The ones that have some background with Spanish-speaking regions are only a handful.

Otsuka Ray is fully Japanese IIRC, she just tries to learn Spanish because a lot of latinos supported her single mom shtick (its very common down here) when she was starting out.

W for WACTOR.
>>
>>110673144
One of Meica's lawsuits was in Paraguay, a notably corrupt shithole (even for Latin American standards) and even there the lawsuit was lost due to stupid procedural issues.

I don't know about the others but I wouldn't be surprised if they were decided by similarly petty shit. Most justice systems are trash nowadays. Losing or winning a trial doesn't mean much in regards to the truth.

Is it really hard going indie and taking your fanbase that you've built up with you? Or do you have to be extremely popular with millions of subs to do that?
>>
>>110669951
Both. First gets them in, second shortens their time. Vtubing is basically a comorbidity for shut ins.

Its way harder than it is on the west. Not to mention they (generally) have to invest a lot more because the market is hyper competitive.

All their talent are likely all vetted for mental illness before hiring. They're not some ragtag company letting anybody in. And they're all popular enough with their own ecosystem so they aren't hurting for views so that'll self harm themselves because they're not making enough money. Any death would be some disgruntled employee inside doxxing them and a fan murdering them for having a boyfriend/husband.
>>
>>110669485
No, although she tried at least once during the W days
>>
I can't help but feel terribly said for this girl, she never had much luck in her life. Life can be cruel and God knows people cane be cruel, but she always tried to keep a smile on her face and stay positive, in spite of the pain she was clearly going through. I wish she'd been given more help and support instead of being left so alone.
>>
>>110677294
>I wish she'd been given more help and support instead of being left so alone
IIRC, her friends saved her multiple times from suicide attempts. They just couldn't get to her in time for this one. There's only so much they can do.

Many such cases. Based!

Holos aren't streamers anymore, they are entertainers putting on live shows. That puts them square in the sights of partying and drugs.
You know one of them is spiraling right now, not realizing how bad it is going to get.

Ao was a menhera who had a history of quitting/getting herself fired from idol groups

NTA but i believe it considering how much she used to drink pre-shark. suddenly a lot of things make sense, she probably has social anxiety issues too which would also contribute to the alcoholism. whoa.

There was that girl from I think Re:Act that killed herself because the CEO screwed her over iirc.
Put out her note on twitter or something and then jumped in front of a subway train
>>
>>110677135
>>All their talent are likely all vetted for mental illness before hiring.
Doesn't mean much when a lot of the issues are with girls who've been in for a while.
Rushia and Ao aside, Just look at Haachama or Marine. Both definitely have some serious issues.
It also doesn't help that Japan doesn't take mental health seriously. They consider it a character flaw rather than something that can be treated so people just hide their problems until they fucking explode.

>>
>>110679513
I looked into it, and nothing about Marine seemed too bad? Just being overly lewd, and things that were out of her control like the management fucking things up and making it look bad for her. Or out of context clips.

For Haato, that 2025 stream where she namedropped (doxxed?) other members was pretty bad. Also fucked up childhood and family of leeches.
>>
>>110681198
Nah, not the lewd stuff. She's probably bipolar or some shit because she gets VERY drastic mood swings or vagueposts disturbing tweets about her mood all the time.

Haachama didn't dox anyone. But she definitely seemed to have a rough home life or something that pushed her over the edge.

None of this is Hololive's fault of course. It's more of a Japan problem, but Hololive's been called "Yagoo's home for broken girls" for a reason.
>>
>>110677025
we will dance and doryaaa, whoever it may be.
>>
>>110681198
Marine having zero goals and not wanting to do anything as a vtuber anymore is not an out of context clip. In fact there's no clips of it at all and you'd only know these things if you watched her.
>>
>>110670457
The JP/Spanish fanscape is ridiculously huge. Wactor was somehow able to chance upon this market and then completely tripped over themselves in cornering it and now literally every spanish tuber avoids jp corpos like the plague because of them.
>>
>>110682910
>Marine having zero goals and not wanting to do anything as a vtuber anymore
She's been streaming for 7-8 years. She's probably made enough to retire on.
>>
>>110683135
She said she doesn't have any money a while ago, but that's probably not the case anymore after 2 whole merch sets she released out of nowhere over the past 4 months.
She could also just have been lying since she clearly lives a very luxurious lifestyle.
>>
The first holo that will die won't die from drugs or partying, it'll be some mundane shit like a car accident or a heart attack thanks to a lifestyle of shitty junk food, no exercise and crappy sleep
