Chaten Kanon was involved in a vehicular hit-and-run incident, where she and her family was ran over by a car, and will now be in intensive care at the hospital for the foreseeable future. Her management has written out a statement and will take over her social media accounts to update her fans on her current situation, as well as help the police find out who was involved in the car incident, as the driver is still at large.

Depends, not always. I know at least where I'm from there might be a few lines of a story saying a road is closed / police responded to a serious collision but beyond that it's never picked up on again.
